Chit Chat / Re: What are you cooking today?

Gosh, everyone is baking and cooking up a storm and all Iím doing is going to Christmas break-ups or eating out of the freezer!  Great idea Julie, it looks so tasty.  Panettone looks gorgeous Chookie, I remember when I made them - I loved them.  My jam and marmalade  making is all finished for the year (I hope) with the nursing home trading table earlier in the year and my SIL was in Adelaide for just a day so he took as many jars back as covered his weight allowance.

Iím steam cleaning my 2 bathrooms this weekend, a long and tedious job but the results are worth it. Having a break with a cuppa and the back massager working wonders.

I felt like cooking tonight before it becomes too hot so made some broccoli & 3 cheese frittatas plus fried up 2 large zucchini & 1 small carrot for timbales.  It only made 4 but they are very tasty.

Tonight I had a slice of pizza, base made with cauliflower.  I made 3 bases a few weeks ago and have only just got around to trying them. https://www.thermofoodieandthechef.com/recipe/cauliflower-pizza-base/

Judy!
Did I see you this morning?  :)  :)

No Julie that wouldíve have been me, I didnít go anywhere near West Lakes today as I had gym this morning then came home to change before going to see Mum then back to the gym place for our Christmas party.  My car is a silvery blue Corolla.

I often think of you and what a lovely surprise to find youíd popped into the forum today.  I hope all is well with you and the family.  Geoff passed away in January but Mum turned 97 on Sunday so my visits to the nursing home are still happening.  Life is good though, Iíve never been so busy - not cooking though!

It wasnít too many years back when I remember seeing Perth have many days in the 40s cookie so a respite from that sort of heat would be very welcome this coming summer. This is the latest I can remember still having cool conditions here, the heat has to come and stay soon surely. Not that I want it!

I found a loaf at Drakes then bought a very similar one from Aldi a couple of dollars cheaper so I have 2 in the freezer whilst I wait for the ingredients to try and make a loaf myself.
