I emailed him cookie.
Not surprising that SA now has Covid cases since the border opened but for the first time ever we have 2 places on the Peninsular where people have been. That means they probably use my shopping centre so Iím staying away for the time being to see how things pan out. I was prepared to be ready for this!

Youíre too kind Margaret.

K Atie this is a post I did for Chookie a while back, she was able to follow it and post pictures the correct size so I hope you can follow the instructions too. You will have to clear your current photo attachments before you start this process. When you click on Attachment and other options youíll see the words (Clear Attachment) in blue, click on all those attachments. If you are unable to do this I can perhaps do it for you.

This is my post to Chookie.

ĎIíll run you through what I do Chookie. These instructions are for the iPad for anyone else wanting to know how to add photos to their posts.

Start off making a comment or posting a recipe.
Just below the box youíve typed in, click on Attachments and other options.
Scroll down to Choose File, click on that. 3 options will come up, click on Photo Library.
Choose the photo you want, it will then tell you the actual size of the photo chosen. This can be too big for the forum so I click on that wording (itís white printing on a black box) then I choose Medium.
On the RHS up the top of this box youíre in is the word ĎUseí, click on that.
You will now see the attachment in the ĎChoose Fileí box.
Click on ĎPostí in the bottom hand corner.

I hope this becomes clear to you as you go through each stage. The photo will appear on the same post as your recipe or comment.í

The photos are a bit too large K Atie, are you able to reduce the size please?

Hi Gert, if I donít receive any notifications automatically for a period of time  (it does happen occasionally) I click on ĎView the most recent posts on the forumí in the Forum Stats down near the bottom of the home page just to make sure I havenít missed any.  I will mention it to MM though, it may be happening to others as well. I guess the rain will get to FNQ eventually and I hope youíre keeping well.

From what Iíve seen and heard, itís mainly men who have amputations. I drive past a rehab hospital a lot and thereís always one or two sitting out the front smoking!  Men donít seem to take diabetes seriously and if they donít have a good woman to keep them in line a lot of them have problems.

Iím finding tinned fruit is expensive too cookie, I find it easier to eat canned peaches than fresh (you canít always rely on them ripening up nicely either), the pear in the soft packs is always too hard so I have to put them into a smoothie.  I just picked up 2 kg bananas for 79 cents a kg, when fully ripened I cut them up and freeze them for my breakfast smoothie but I can eat them as is.

Iím sure all consultants will be very busy helping the oldies with their Cookidoo problems. I donít plan to ever go there.

Thanks cookie, something to look forward to then! Hopefully our first booster wonít affect us either.
Chivas Regal was DHís favourite before he too had to give up drinking many years ago. I donít miss a glass of wine with my meal, the sparkling water I now drink is a good substitute.  Iím well stocked up with that which I also buy from Costco, I have 6 x 30 packs in the garage - at least it wonít end up down the sink.

Oh do tell us the outcome Chookie, if you start giggling the podiatrist might too. Mind you Iíve never met one with a sense of humour yet unfortunately.

Thanks Margaret, I take the easy way out these days.  Your suggestions to Chookie & cookie sound good to me.

Home made gifts are great, I used to love making them for the nursing home November trading table. Unfortunately they havenít been able to have one since Covid first struck, very strict rules in there now.  Great idea Chookie, even better than making up those jars with the layers of ingredients needed to bake cookies - these will be quicker and easier to slice and bake.
