Chit Chat / Re: What have you been doing today?

Feeling pretty good today thanks everyone. I have lots of bruises and sore spots, but everything works so I’m fine.

We had lovely rain the other night. We got about 36mm or so. No flooding  anywhere near us. It was slow and steady. Judy we always have water restrictions for June, July and August. No sprinklers at all. We can only use our bores for 2 days a week. The garden has suffered quite a lot as a result of this. We’ve been sung Wet a Soil to help things along.

We didn’t get any fruit last year KAtie.
Chookie I tried the cheap glasses but didn’t like the quality of them. I ended going to OPSM and getting a pair made. I only need them when the light is very poor or if my eyes are extremely tired. It’s great.

My nephew’s wife went into labour very early this morning. I’ve just heard (about 16 hours later) that she is to have a caesarean. Poor girl.

I fell over today. I’m quite ashamed, I feel that puts me into the elderly bracket. 🥺🥺🥺🥺I bent to pick up a parcel at the front door and somehow over balanced. I went head over turkey. DD was here, in bed ill, so I yelled for her. My watch wanted to call for help but I said I was ok. I’m all bruised down my RH side, even my breast! I don’t think anything broke. My left wrist is painful but ok I think. DH had gone to York to pick up a vintage trailer. I still managed to cook dinner. 😀😀

I made a Classic loaf today, prepared a rye SD loaf to rise in the fridge and made some Jam Drops. They have a bit of almond meal in them so I did my own but left the skins on.

I’ve been patiently waiting for it to rain. We have only had 3.6mm all year. Not good at all. I’m also keeping an eye on my dragon fruit flowers as I think I will have to pollinate them.

We had Feta, Spinach and Potato Frittata from Cookidoo. It was very nice I roasted the vegetables in the AF first.

DH went to another car show yesterday. He took the latest acquisition.
Today we had to go to the bank to arrange for one of the recipients of MIL will to have his $$ put into a term deposit until he can access it. We don’t know when that will be, it’s a jolly nuisance.

We’ve had a chaotic day one way and another so we tried the local fish and chip shop. It was quite good. Enormous serves. We ordered online and parked right out the front to pick it up.

Trout fishing would be awesome.
DD and I went out for coffee this morning. DH went to Brookton with some other car members to display old cars. https://www.brookton.wa.gov.au/brookton-old-time-motor-show.aspx

I made a Classic loaf, some no fuss rolls and some biscuits today.

They are oatmeal raisin cookies and have molasses in.
https://sugarspunrun.com/oatmeal-raisin-cookies/ It is a US recipe so the tablespoon is only 15ml.
