That’s a good deal Marina. I have had mine for quite a while. It’s handy for the thermomix in the van.

These are the breads I did the other day.

The SD rye is at the back, the rolls are the Ukrainian Garlic Bread and the other is one of Chookie’s loaves cooked from cold in the Dutch oven.

We had a Model A coffee run today. It was down on the coast so we took the Holden. Someone saw us, photographed us and put it on Perth Spotto. DH was thrilled.

Marina, the Cafe is  in Elizabeth Street.  I think it is called the Victoria.  It looks pretty basic but the food was good. Also not expensive. The Spanish Cafe, nearby is also good but the coffee awful.
It has remained cold. The garden says Spring but the weather says Winter.
We are having a friend from WA staying for the weekend. Will try and keep her warm.

Keep her with you Chookie. They are forecasting 40 here for Saturday.

KAtie I have never had beef cheeks, possibly because of what they are. :D

Tonight we are having Peri Peri chicken strips I bought from Coles. They are  made by Mt Barker chicken people who are free range. I didn't know what to serve with them so have decided to take a leaf out of Astarra's book and make some savoury muffins for the carbs part of our meal. The rest will either be salad or a few vegies.

I've made another loaf of bread for DH to take to our friend at car club. DD requested some Ukrainian Garlic Bread (nothing special I don't think) as DH's parents are from the Ukraine.

Our rain is gone and spring, verging on summer is back. It was quite warm in the sun when I was hanging the washing out.

Quite possibly Daiso. DD discovered it years ago when she was in Japan. Then when she discovered them in Melbourne she was over the moon. We now have one at our local Westfield. I often pop in and pick up little containers I need or something similar. The dried mango they have from Cebu in the Philippines is lovely. The couple down the road have a house in Cebu and go back a couple of times a year. They brought us some back and then we found it in Daiso.

The biscuit barrel is almost empty so we need something for that. I also have SD starter for my weekly rye bread growing and a Classic Loaf rising.

Fish Pie
Nagi lists this as a good one for Easter.  We love it at anytime. It makes heaps so I only ever do half, that is more than enough for us. I use the smoked cod she suggests and then make up the rest using prawns, squid or whatever you like. You could use white fish or mussels. I use the thermomix to cook the onion, garlic and carrot and then continue on to make the white sauce.
I cook the potatoes for the topping in the thermomix too.  It’s a lot less washing up.
