Chit Chat / What have you been doing today?
« on: June 28, 2020, 09:18:56 am »
We had our first Model A run since February today. We went to a car museum and had an inside bbq and a birthday cake as our club is 40 this year. The weather was ghastly so most people took their modern cars. We even took my red Hilux.

The fruit bread.  https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=17347.msg420208#msg420208

I also tried a new SD overnight loaf. The way things were going it looked like it was going to be a good door stop. I was amazed at the oven spring it got.

I've made a fruit loaf that has sour cherries, choc bits and walnuts in it. DD usually takes a slice in her lunch.

I love salmon but DH isnít very fond of it.
We are having corned beef and veggies in the SC tonight. We will be having a cute unicorn cupcake as dessert as the young lass down the road has had a birthday and wanted to bring us a cake. I think she would be about 5. Her Dad is a house dad which I think is wonderful.

Fortunately I never had to be involved in a stock take.
DD and I had a light lunch out today. She is eating out tonight too, so it had to be light.

It is amazing how exercise can make you feel.. I wish I had been able to convince myself of this 20 years ago. I still hate it but cope with actually doing it now. Iím an evening walker JulieO, I love my bed.

Your gardeners SD looks very impressive Chookie.
I made an apple cake yesterday that everyone is raving about. It is put together in layers. Trudy sent me the recipe and then our ABC was promoting it. We had it for dessert last night and DH has had a couple of bits today. I forgot to take a photo, so here it is in its container ready for the fridge.ill try and remember to take a better photo tonight.
