What's for Dinner Tonight?
« Reply #15810 on: February 18, 2016, 11:16:15 am »
We had a quiche tonight. It was a recipe I got from an old BBC Good Food. It had potato in. Not quite our cup of tea.  The texture etc was lovely so I will make  it again but without the potato and just add bacon, spinach etc.

Nice meals everyone.  We are having Crumbed Oven Baked Chicken Strips with veggies.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I have a pork roast cooking ATM, we will have it with crackling (obviously), potatoes, kumara & pumpkin, zucchini muffins, steamed carrots and beans, and gravy. Plus there will be tomatoes available if anyone wants them!  :D

We're having bangers and mash. I was near a lovely butcher this morning so grabbed some of his sausages. We know they are nice so each time I'm near there I grab a kilo.

Just catching up. Wonderful cooking and inspirational photos. Thanks girls.
Last night turned the Chow Mein into Spring Rolls.  Love using the fresh veggies from the garden.
Had lunch with Bruce and Mandy.  Bruce made Portuguese Custard tarts for Sweets. My conversion of the Bill Granger recipe. Must make it again.

We both had a meal from the WW 21 day diet planner book today called; 'Roast salmon & warm potato salad'.  Absolutely loved this and it was so satisfying even though I didn't add everything I should have.  The dressing really made it.  Will be making this one again very soon.  :)

It looks fantastic JulieO. A little bit similar to this smoked salmon and potato salad one I make and we love.

I love every element of that dish Julie, it would go down well here too.

I had spaghetti bolognaise tonight, a quick meal when you have packs of bolognaise sauce with veggies in the freezer.

Thankyou Cookie and Judy.  :D

Thanks for linking that recipe Cookie, I must have missed that one.  Have saved it as it sounds really nice too.  :)
