I guess the usual would be good, muffins, cup cakes etc. How about dips would they be ok. Maybe even some pesto. Scones, cakes, biscuits and slices.

They look divine. My family informed me yesterday they prefer muffin tops to muffins. DH likes the slightly crusty top and bottom and the fact that there is less of it.

I love the photo Maddy. We had a young shapely lass at school -a teacher- whose tops and bottoms never met. We had to suggest some shops where she could buy tops that came down over her trouser tops. She was gorgeous.

Chit Chat / Re: Interesting saving« on: February 10, 2011, 01:28:32 am »
What a wonderful surprise. Our electricity and gas have both gone through the roof (compared to what they were before). They are not expensive compared to other people's bills as we've always been fairly careful, but electricity has risen something like 40% or so in the last 12 months. We're thinking of putting solar electricity panels on the roof. Does anyone have them?

I'm inspired. It was going to be madeleines but now I think I'll make muffin tops to add to my muffin top! I'll only try a little bit.

I love dumplings on stews and casseroles. Just make sure there is a little more liquid as they slurp up a bit. Good luck. I'll be round for dumpling dinner.

Bread / Re: bread improver« on: February 09, 2011, 01:12:43 am »
Yes lots of us use bread improver. I never used to but gave it a try and felt my bread was better for it. I just add it in to the bowl with my flour. I don't use it for my latest craze of sourdough though.
