I cooked Barramundi & Potato pie last night https://www.womensweeklyfood.com.au/recipe/dinner/barramundi-and-potato-pie-1847/ for dinner last night. Instead of mash I did a layer of pre-cooked potato slices on the top to comply with my guestís dietary restrictions. It went down very well, I even had some.
For dessert we had Chookieís Queen of Puddings with a stewed strawberry layer which was another winner.

Marina, asking for a friend - could macadamias be subbed for cashews and could this cream be frozen.

Margaret nice to hear from you but not that youíve had more swallowing problems. I hope the manometry test goes OK.  I have an IT man that comes to me too but as I hadnít used my computer for about 6 years I gave it to him last time he was here to help me with a printer problem.  I gave it a factory reset beforehand and it was so strange trying to use it after so long as Iím used to doing everything on the iPad now. I kept wanting to touch the screen instead of moving the mouse. Your lesson tomorrow will hopefully help you navigate the new system, remembering what heís taught you might be a little harder, well it would for me anyway. Good luck with everything.

I had some crabs and whiting given to me today so I made crab soup and with the fish I made Coconut Fish & Veggies, a recipe from the TMX book Cooking for your baby & toddler (Louise Fulton Keats). I made it 12 years ago for my then 4 year old GS and added a tsp green curry paste but didnít have any pastes today so just stuck to the recipe. I was able to eat it without blitzing it at all. Iíd spent ages online looking for something to do with the fish before remembering I had this book. It was between this one and Fish & Risoni Stew, something Iíll do next time.

I hate seeing local cinemas closing, I hope they have a change of mine and that the community supports them Chookie. Ours has survived because of the ongoing support from locals, with tickets only $10  for everyone how can you not support it.

My six monthly visit to my Oncologist and the sun is out for my 20 minute walk from the train, canít ask for more than that.

Today I finished the planting of shrubs and small trees in both the front and back gardens after having had many horrible yukkas and agaves removed prior to my Ballarat trip. 32 plants in total with just the mulching out the back to organise now.
