Introduce Yourself / Re: Youíre all still here???? 🤗
« on: December 08, 2023, 01:00:12 pm »
There are heaps of recipes on our forum many have tried and commented on which helps others. Quite a few upgraded to the TM5 and now the TM6 but some of us still only have the TM31. My life has changed so the early model is fine for me for the little I do cooking wise now. They say spare parts for the TM31 will not be available after 2024 so I put mine in for a service and part replacements so itís bound to last me as long as I need it. I havenít heard of any dying and some have kept it even though theyíve upgraded. The TM31 is a real workhorse. There are many great books available now but theyíre not really necessary when you can just google any meal you want and add Thermomix to the search.  If you have your mojo back then go for it Jenni.

Ha ha, yes some of us are still here Jenni but the forum is very quiet these days. Some of the old members pop in from time to time but there are so many TM owners who have blogs now that there is no shortage of recipes. In the early days the recipe books were terrible and it was hard to find a TM recipe online so when we discovered this forum we sort of took it over. It has never shut down but weíve been offline a few times for short periods until those who run it fixed the problem. Welcome back.

It is unusual cookie but looks very nice. With those tins you donít have the problem of the centre not being cooked properly.

Not sure what Iíll have tonight but yesterday I bought another 3 packs of peeled crabmeat so had a cocktail before freezing the rest in small packs. Due to having a lot of Nutri grain leftover from a batch of nuts and bolts I had a handful of that too, poured hot milk over it to soften and much to my surprise, I really enjoyed it.

I completely cleared out one of the small sheds today after giving stuff away earlier. Cleaned the Weber Q for SIL, squirted down Mumís walker, shower chair etc (keeping them in case anyone needs them down the track, me included), swept the garage and shed floor and put back other things which need to be kept ie spare roof tiles and current colour of part tins of paint. Gurneyed under the pergola then washed the car before knocking off for the day. 1 shed down, 1 to go then Iíll tackle the garage.

Iíve been into the little sheds today bringing out some of the stuff I donít need or want. Cleaned it all up, took photos and posted on the Buy Nothing group. DD & SIL weíre driving back to Melbourne so before I posted the items I sent pictures asking if SIL wanted any of them. We decided before they left that he would have the Weber Q but not the Weber kettle and from the photos I sent whilst they were travelling he only chose the circular saw and a trunk. So the best item to go on the giveaway page was the Weber with a cover, gas bottle, solid cooking plate and recipe book. 42 people put their name down in the first 2.5 hours so I asked permission from the Moderator if I could pick the winner earlier than the 24 hour simmer that they prefer. It was granted and the lady I chose over 2 hours ago was so excited that she is still messaging me and making me laugh. I canít wait to meet her and her partner tomorrow, this group of people is amazing.
