Bedlam -  is your tmx still under warranty? if so, perhaps you could ask your consultant about it . . would there be a possibility of the blades being replaced for you?

That's a jolly nuisance Bedlam.

Yes, i was very relieved.
My Dh has suggested getting my Dad to spot weld the blade. Will see how we go, certainly cant hurt.

I'm not so convinced of the overloading theory, rather that the shaft gets worn with regular general use. I'm now onto my 4th set of blades  >:( and I definitely do not overload cos I am very aware of this.

I agree CP with your sentiments. Dissapointing for such an expensive piece of equipment. My top piece with the blade rotates so I think if dad has some stainless steel rods he may be able to secure the blade onto the middle shaft.  Give it a bit more life.

Maddy did you open it before you tossed it? I might have eaten it. Nay  I probably would have rinsed it and tested it first but  it might have been fine inside. I have eaten worse.

My girlfriends hubby did this after she dropped hers. Doesn't look pretty, but works a treat and much cheaper option.

The 11 year old has not long informed me of those functions  :P  The reminders have been invaluable!

It's been so long since I made a loaf so I was very disappointed I didn't realise the no-fuss recipe was going to rise so high (normally make rolls with this recipe). I did line the tin but only with a small liner which obviously wasn't enough  :-))  Luckily it's only for me, still tastes great  ;D
