Julie that is so very sad. It breaks your heart when you have to make these decisions. Sending a big hug over to you.

I have done a little shopping, washing, feeding neighbours koi in their backyard pond (they are away in Bali).
Yesterday I went out with DS to shop for a Trestle table, then to Spotlight for black fabric to make a fitted cover for it.
My DS and 2 friends are doing some sort of comedy routine at the upcoming Fringe Festival.
Today I got the sections cut out and pinned, will try and get it sewn tomorrow. Never a dull moment!

Lol Judy, Fringe festival tickets are usually cheap, and as it's their 1st ever show I would not deny DS the price of a couple of tickets.

I hope his show is very successful Katj. I went to a couple here last year with the family and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Food choices were amazing as well.

A bit close for comfort today. Fire trucks, police, 3 heli tankers and 2 fixed wing aircraft.
I smelled smoke and went to check and then saw the flames. Not much fun. I dislike fire almost as much as I dislike wind.
The second photo was just as it started. The drivers of all of the above, especially the heli tankers are amazing. It's almost out now. It took about an hour.

Oh cookie too close for comfort but the helicopters are amazing, many years ago the bush opposite our house in suburbia was deliberately lit and the water bombers were amazing to watch, glad everything is okay xx

Was it a house on fire or bushland cookie?

Bush Judy. It our suburb there are strips of bush here and there. There is another down the end of the street opposite us. That hasn't burnt yet.
Yes Suzanne the air craft dropping water are amazing. The choppers filled up from a lake nearby and the fixed wing aircraft went back to Jandakot which isn't far away.
It's all out now.
