My Mum had her best stuff. I used to, but we stopped it just after Mum died. We are now very slowly working our way through all the "best" stuff. It will take a long time as we don't break things very often.

Marie, condolences to all your family. So hard when it's so sudden. We are another family of making the mist of each day after DH was almost killed in a car accident when I was pregnant with DD, there is nothing too previous not to use in my house and we try and make the most the time we all have together.

Finally back home after a loooong flight from Montreal, I hate missng the day on return. Fortunately the kids and DH kept the house pretty clean and I didn't walk back to the mess I was expecting, although DS's year level coordinator has requested a meeting this week because of some "issues"!! It was great t get back yo DH and the kids.

Welcome back wonder, bit of a temperature change from Canada!

I only had one set of china, it's worked really hard and I need to buy new bowls for the guests.

Always nice to come home Wonder, do you get given time off after you've been away for work?

Thanks everyone. Judy we don't get time off but work is very flexible. I haven't managed much work today but have a pretty big week ahead so not too fussed with taking some extra time today, had a nice lunch with dd and cooked quince paste, ice cream and roast pork belly for dinner.

DJ, it got down to -15 while I was there and was a little warmer with snow a few days, is 31 in Melbourne today.

Welcome back wonder. Extreme difference in temps. Hoping you can sort DS's issues out and get back to a little normality quickly. At least the weather is good to get through all your travelling washing!

Just home from work. I have had the busiest last 4 hours that I can remember. The shift went extremely fast.  :D

Helped out in DS classroom, folded the washing, cleaned the house and culled shoes. Took DS to library, did homework and stopped into Woolies for a few things. DS was very sad the lady wouldn't give him any dreamworks cards.

DH has been dragging me around looking for an English staffy puppy. I'm not a big fan of the breed and am trying to be for his sake, as I will be the one doing all the puppy training as he is away more than he's home. I like a smaller dog than that. I think I may have to buy my choice when he away  :-)) I find everyone else's dog cute, but when it potentially comes down to "our" dog there is tough criteria to meet.
