Oh no Astarra that is terrible. There is light at the end! We are all back to normal and I did avoid the worst if it. Just felt yuck for two days.....very similar to morning sickness but without the pregnancy
Can't wait for footy to start either. Ds7 is playing Auskick at half time on MCG Easter Monday. He is very excited.

Taking to the big stage will be awesome for DS Kim, I love watching the little kids play at half time.
Sorry to hear you have a wet Easter ahead Denise, it must make it difficult for egg hunts.

How exciting for DS to play on the MCG.
Your upholstery friends must love the end of the term CC when they receive a goodie from you.

Enjoy your busy day Obbie.
This week I was summonsed for Jury Duty in a town 80km away starting on 31st March (not much notice) which I've had to defer as we'll be in Melbourne then. They've put me down for starting on 30th May instead and I will be 'on duty' for the whole month of June.
I did it 5 years ago and with the payment I got for that bought my close up lens for my camera. I don't mind doing it, though it can be a pain driving to and fro each day if required.

Good morning everyone. DS 1 was called for jury duty a few weeks ago, I have never been called.

I have never been called, and would never want to be, either. It's such an overwhelming responsibility and I don't feel I would be mentally strong or brave enough to handle it.

Gosh Julie that is hard. Even if you are reimbursed travel expenses having to drive home after sitting on a jury all day is awful. Also being on call for an entire month! It is a busy road you will be driving too.
DD was called about 2 years ago, her third time. She had to front up for 3 days and then if not selected for a jury, she was released.
I'm not tempting fate by saying anything about my non selection!

You already have Cookie, it will happen now, wait and see
There's also the possibility that if a trial is carried over to the following month we have to go with it until it's finished.
I don't like that road one bit but I have to suck it up and not be silly. It is a big responsibility and one I respect no matter what it is we sit in front of. Would be so much easier if it was in my home town. Oh well these things happen. The worse thing for me will be having to miss my early morning walks each morning but will certainly go on any days off.
These 2 photos I took with my phone yesterday morning, you can probably see why I love doing it so much.

Good morning everyone. What a lovely picture to see when logging on for the first time today Julie, it's absolutely stunning.
DD did jury duty in February and running your own business makes it very difficult as she had to go into work after jury service and SIL had to play the role of Mum and Dad. She was lucky in that she was only chosen to sit on 2 cases. I did it over 20 years ago and loved it. Would do it again at the drop of a hat but my time is running out as I believe once you turn 70 it's all over red rover.
I hope the kids enjoy their run Robyn. Nice to see these things happen at school.

I think it's a great idea Judy, let's hope you do get picked again at some stage.
Just on the photos; to give an idea of where I walk, I've taken the photo after walking about half way down the beach front on the board walk. I walk along that path right to the end where you see all the lights in a row. That's the jetty (see in the 2nd pic). After doing the jetty, there's a breakwater that juts off to the right of that which I go to the end then turn around and walk back the same way. It's 3.5km but doesn't seem that much. Every day the sky/sea is different, it really sets me up for the day.

It's very beautiful Julie. My theory is that nature provides us with beauty everywhere. You just have to look for it. So many people just whinge about it and don't look at what they are seeing.
If I get called for jury duty I can delay it once.
Judy, the piece that caught my eye was 'if you wish to do it'. I wonder if WA is thinking of changing?
