Judy, I keep smiling when I think of you and Fletcher walking together.  You spent so much time with him pre school. I'm sure he hasn't forgotten.

Hello everyone!
I'd like some help and advice please, which cookie or biscuit recipe shall I make for the B and B rooms. Yes I am finally opening in May, 2 years later than planned owing to DH's cancer. Two rooms to start, then a third later on.
Ideally I'd like something which is easy to make, yummy and not too sweet. Something that you'd all be pleased to find in a jar on your hospitality tray. I don't want to make and eat (test) loads as I have just managed to lose 8lbs of post menopausal weight gain (yippee, another few pounds to go) and don't want to put it all back on... ;D it's a dilemma that I was sure you'd all like to help with.
cheers DJ

Hi friends and DJ.
A grey overcast start to the day here.At least it's drying out and less squishy mud LOL. A good walk with Chance but didn't meet or see anyone this morning.

I suggest Shortbread DJ.It keeps well and you can add other flavours to the basic dough.I've added orange rind, lemon rind and lavender. You could add fruits and nuts. The combinations are endless. :)

I'd go with shortbread too. I've made orange and almond and also craisin and pistachio. ( Tenina's ). Plain shortbread is delicious too. Good luck DJ.

Good morning everyone.  Good luck with the new business DJ.  :D

We are on our way down the coast to visit our daughter and grandson.  We are also taking our cat to stay with them for a month as we will be going away to Melbz in a couple of weeks and will feel better knowing he's with someone that he knows.  He's still missing our other cat and finds it hard to settle these days so we are hoping that spending time with our daughter's cat will be good for him.

Such a beautiful morning and loving the crisp feel to the air, though it will be warming up later.  Enjoy your day everyone.  ;D

Hi friends.
We had showers overnight so it was damp walking this morning with Chance.Lots of bird song. Its the time for birds to start nesting.I saw a pair of ducks in flight and the Sky Larks were singing away. There was a flock of birds perch in the trees that were kicking up a racket but I couldn't make out what's pieces they were.
Off to my class today.

Have a good trip Julie. :)

Hi everyone, forgot to say good morning this morning!  Listening to birds on your walk would be right up my alley Denise.

I hope your cat gets on with DD's cat Julie.

I was also going to suggest shortbread - it's simple and versatile, and people love a good homemade one.
