I hope your DD is feeling better Thermilover, it just takes something like that to throw your week out.
My DD had oldest GS home from school with nits. That threw her week into chaos, she just tries to squeeze too much into her days.
Judy I hope you enjoyed the Fringe festival. I enjoyed the two shows I saw at the Perth one recently.

Katj that is an ongoing problem. Does your DD use conditioner to get them out? I believe tea tree oil is a sort of repellent for them.

Hello all, back to work today .ACW what sort of citrus trees.
2 Limes, Tahitian for fruit and Kaffir for the leaves.
My kids were so embarrassed when they got nits. Fortunately only once. I was told that the nits can jump 10 feet. , !

Cookie, thanks for your input on the nit treatment. I was talking to my sister 2 days ago and she told me about using conditioner. Way better than a chemical treatment in my opinion. Sisters GD couldn't tolerate chemical treatment on her ultra sensitive skin, so they used conditioner with great success.
Tea tree oil as a repellent sounds as though it could/would work, I will pass on your tip, thankyou.
My little GS in Melbourne had them a few months ago and DS just gave him a buzz cut. It actually suited him, he looked so cute.
DD would not consider that an option, she likes longish hair on the oldest GS 5, 3 yo GD has very long hair and so far doesn't appear to have nits(I find that amazing, as they share a room). The baby GS (19 months now)has a beautiful head of blonde curls.

Hi friends.
A grey day here with a cold wind.
A good walk with Chance.I saw one other dog walker with his dog Flash.
Fingers crossed that you get a good result with the open day Chookie.
I hope you are enjoying the fringe festival Judy.
Nits are prevalent here in schools too.
It's a nightmare for parents.

A perfect day for it Katj and Denise but boy the kids and I were very tired by the end of a long day. The Rundle Mall was a great place to be with different acts every hour in various spots. We went there first then to the Croquet Club in Victoria Square then walked to The Enchanted Garden in the Eastern parklands, lots of walking for young and old. Grandma and young Fletcher always seemed to be lagging behind the others - the oldest and the youngest members of the family.

He has very short legs at this stage cookie so that's one reason he and I could keep up with each other. He did offer to have a race to the others with me at one stage though LOL.

Nits are doing the rounds at school here too.
ACW I have 2 kaffir lime trees, love them.
DD has been sick, with some virus again, so I hope she is up to school today.
