Marina what a nuisance. It sort of puts a dampened on your time away. I'm glad you enjoyed the weekend.

Robyn photos of the shoes and wallet please?  You know I'm a second Imelda Marcos!!!  Did you buy a LV wallet or similar? They last forever.

Judy enjoy your outing. I'm glad it is the weather for it. We have 35 today which isn't too bad. It's funny how your perception of a hot day changes as summer progresses.

Denise buy the tin. The recipe that it came with is amazing. US spoon sizes are the same as yours.

Cookie, not a LV wallet, but hot pink leather, with lots of credit card space. Wish I had her money and shoes. :)

I love eel skin wallets, but they are hard to find. I have 2 at the moment. But loved the color of this pink one.

Eel skin sounds interesting Robyn. Is it soft? I guess it has lovely markings on it.

Yes it was lovely Denise.  Mum and Geoff cleaned up their plates!  Only downside was that the 3 access cabs didn't return to collect them so I ended up doing 3 trips back to the home with a carer and 2 residents each time.  Access Cabs booked for 1.30 and when I collected the last of the ladies who were not wheelchair bound, the cab was apparently 5 minutes away.  It was only Geoff, one other resident plus a carer left behind for all that time.  What should have been a 1.5 hour outing turned into 3 for most of them. A round trip from the hotel to the home took me half an hour by the time you unloaded the ladies.

Everyone must have been tired after their delayed return to Morpeth Judy.
What a lovely person you are to ferry most of the residents back to the care home.

Thank goodness it wasn't a hot day Judy, that would have made it so much worse.  :o

Good morning everyone.  Thanks for your lovely comments girls, the Corolla did well yesterday.  There was no way I could walk away from these poor ladies who just wanted to go 'home'.  They were very appreciative and I was only too happy to help out. They know me well so I was only doing a favour for friends.

So true Judy. You certainly couldn't get up and say bye. All the lovely things you do for them is paid back to you via Geoff's care.
