It certainly is Cookie. Today the DON asked me to choose rooms for Mum and Geoff off the plan at their new premises which is currenty being built so I've chosen rooms on the ground floor, away from noisy areas like the kitchen and equipment wash rooms, not facing roads but near one of the lounges and the dining room.  Hope I've chosen wisely, it's hard making a decision off a plan when you haven't seen the other buildings on which this new one for our residents is modelled.  It is expected to be finished either late August or late October, depending on how much rain is received this winter.

I think so too. :)

A very chilly and icy start to the day here but we have clear blue skies.A morning where you need to scrape the ice of the car windscreen so you can see driving.Of course the mud is frozen hard so its hard on the feet walking. :-)) Chance just jumps and skips everywhere.I did see one other dog walker with her Spaniel.Home now warming up with coffee in my hands ;)

Warming your hands around a coffee mug sounds wonderful CC, we were close to 40c again in Perth today. We are looking forward to our holiday in Melbourne on the 26th, it has been cool there.

I would just melt in 40c Katj. Snow showers have been forecast for Thursday morning and then it's turning into rain. :P

Morning all.
Lovely and cool again.
Washed all the windows on the outside yesterday. Working together and with commercial equipment it only took 1 hour.
CC , that does sound cold.
Judy, glad you were able to choose rooms. Sounds like you made sensible choices.
Kat, the weather in Melb has been very strange. Quite cool for this time of the year. May warm up at the weekend , to 30.

Katj, Chookie is right about the weather here in Melbourne at the moment - and I am sure Robyn can attest to this as well - it is really unpredictable.  Yesterday I had to get my shoes and socks out of the wardrobe and a jumper on before I went out in the afternoon.  It is crazy.  Maybe more settled when you come down so that you can enjoy your visit.

I was only saying to DH on our morning walk today that this summer there's only been about 3 mornings that I haven't worn a hoodie when walking.  Usually during summer walks I'm in a tshirt even though it's pre-dawn.
The days do warm up though and it's heading to a hot weekend, but it hasn't felt as hot this year as other years.  :P

Good morning everyone.  So far it certainly has been the mildest February in Adelaide that I can remember but we did have all that heat late last year to contend with.

I won't comment on the coolness.  ;D ;D I'm tired of summer, bring on winter. I feel so lethargic in the summer. It's 8.50am here and 31.5 degrees. I think it is only going to reach 37 or something or other today.

Cookie,we have had a hot Summer, and like you I'm really looking forward to cooler days.
I feel lethargic also, even DH has been tired, we have just had to push through it to get packing done. I wasn't feeling crash hot this morning with diverticulitis acting up. I did get the kitchen cupboards cleaned out, but then I slept for 2 1/2 hours. Hope I can sleep tonight.
