Yesterday a friend called in for afternoon tea. I had no cake or biscuits and nothing in the freezer so I did a plate of crackers, cheese and quince paste and small tomatoes. They were nice for a change.

Today I have been invited to an afternoon playing Hoy.  I'd never heard of it before but apparently it's a bit like bingo so this might be fun.

One of our GD from Qld called in yesterday and spent the day with us.  We had a lovely time catching up and also playing Rummy Cub.

Today I visited a friend for afternoon tea and a stroll around her beautiful garden.  A lovely afternoon.

I asked DS to vacuum under our bed for me today as I have difficulty getting down to do it let alone getting up again.  He did that and then did the rest of the house for me.

Snap chookie, I made a batch of sweet chilli jam today.  I"ve also made roast pumpkin soup.

Cookie , so many interesting places and things to see in WA.  We loved out time over there.

I am finally connected to the NBN but not without some problems.  The cable was laid yesterday and everything was installed but the internet wouldn't connect. The problem wasn't at my end and I was told that it would be mid June before it could be fixed.  That wasn't good enough so I made some phone calls today and expressed my disappointment. I spent an hour and a half on the phone  with a very helpful lady who went to a great deal of trouble to find the problem.  As I am not particularly technically minded it was an interesting phone call and I ended up in places in the computer I never knew existed.  Finally the problem was solved and now everything is working.  I can't thank that lady enough for her expertise and patience with me as she explained everything she was doing.
