Lovely photos Cookie. They remind me of our trip to the west.
Our DD and GD came for a surprise visit yesterday.

LAst night we had Tuna Mornay with potato mash and steamed asparagus and carrots. I had everything except the asparagus and enjoyed it all.
Tonight will be Spinach and Ricotta parcels with baby potatoes and coleslaw. I'm not sure how I will go with the coleslaw.

Yesterday I had my review with my specialist. He wants me to start eating more normal foods again just taking care not to try anything too solid. I know I need to as I have lost so much weight but my worry is that if food gets caught again then I'm back to hospital. All I can do is try.
We had a new HWS installed this morning as the old one working as well as it should. Then supermarket shopping after lunch.

I am not sure if this is the right place to come to, but what is your easiest / best / never fail cookie to make in an emergency. I am sure there must be something on here somewhere that answers this question, but I haven't been able to find it.
Marina, Cornflake Biscuits, Shortbread, Anzacs, YoYos/Melting Moments, Honey Snaps from Chookie and anything with choc chips are always favourites here. The Walnut Refrigerator Biscuits from Emerald Sue are always popular at Christmas. I'm sure others will some special ones too. Yesterday I made Braised Steak and Onions and Sloppy Joes from RTE.

Chookie, that's a nice selection of food I'm sure the family will enjoy it.
Braised Steak and Onions with mixed vegetables for the men. I'm trying some Sloppy Joe mix from RTE for me with some mashed potato.

Yesterday DD and 2 GC came for Father's Day. I asked GS how to get rid of all the ads that keep popping up on my computer. He put some program on and now I have no more annoying ads. These young ones are so IT smart.
Today I received my appointment for another test so that the doctors can decide what to do with me. but it's not until Feb 2026. Unfortunately I am in the too hard basket and no one is quite sure what to do with me next.

I made a Pastie Slice for lunch today. DIL had said that she hadn't been able to buy a decent pastie anywhere lately so I made the recipe from the Recipe Community and DIL enjoyed it. DH, DS and DIL ate a large piece each. One piece was wrapped and taken to DIL father, 2 pieces went in the freezer and one piece left over for dinner tomorrow night. It is a very economical dish.

DS and DIL called in today for lunch. Settlement has finally taken place on their property and they were heading off to Lakes Entrance for a few days to relax.

Katie we loved the Coalseam Conservation Park and all the lovely wildflowers. I'd love to go back there again one day.
Recently I bought some new curtains for 2 bedrooms. I managed to get one lot shortened and hung before I went to hospital and today I have shortened one of the other curtains and DS hung that for me. Now I still have another one to shorten and hang when I feel up to it.

I bought a packet of Lamb Shanks in Red Wine Sauce to have with mixed roast vegetables and broccoini for the men. I pureed an egg omelette for myself.
