I love the car Julie!! Is it auto or manual? My mum has promised that she will buy me a new car when she wins the lotto, and I quite like the look of that one ;D

Automatic Amy.  Hopefully your dream will come true.  :D

Just been talking to the neighbours son who is a farmer and he said they let their orphaned lambs die...I said "oh no" and so.....to cut a long story short....sounds as tho a new lamb or two will be coming to live at our place soon, not born yet but he thinks they will end up with orphans, something to do with young mums having triplets or something!!  :D
Also got an invite to talk the girls out to his farm anytime, he is going to also let me know when his mare foals so we can go and see that too, she is due in about 3-4weeks!  :D
Apart from that, just a normal day...
:D

Apart from owning their very own lambs shortly, the kids will love their visit to a farm astarra,  so many kids these days don't get the opportunity.  In our day there were always relatives who farmed, heaps of them - Mum was probably one of the few who was a city slicker - and I used to love going to their places for holidays.  Apart from farm life being totally different to city life, my country Aunts were such good cooks too  ;D

Absolutely JD. Great cooks. The kids will know where babies come from. A farm experience will be so much fun.

Astarra don't count on seeing the foals being born cos when it happens it happens very quickly. We used to breed Arabians as I was growing up, and we only saw one foal being born. Dad knew she was about to give birth one evening and went to check on her and came running back to get us. It was remarkable. About 10 years ago we were driving to Margaret River and there were all these cars parked on the side of the road near the cheese factory. As we flew past I could see a cow giving birth with all these people watching. DH was not going to stop, but I said the kids will remember this for the rest of their lives, so by the time we turned around and found somewhere to park the little calf was nearly out. The female member of staff came running out from serving behind the counter, helped open up the sac so the cow could lick the calf etc and then she helped it up and promptly went back inside to serve. Probably seen it a hundred times before, but to all the onlooking city slickers we were simply amazed at being in the right place at the right time.

It was mad Monday here.  DS3 had morning kinder, DS5 had swimming lesson followed by arvo kinder and I snuck in a game of netball. Warm day too so we all will sleep well tonight.

Poor cow - I'd hate everyone standing around watching me whilst I was giving birth  ;D

My son was born in a teaching hospital. He was breech so I had about 10 students hanging at the end of the bed watching.  I had nothing but the gas. No drugs. The language was interesting. Not only mine but the students as well !
