Last night we had steak layered salad with rice noddles and pomegranate molasses. Steamed broccoli sugar snaps and corn kernels to be part of the layers . Tonight was leftovers and DH had eggs .

A lot of driving for DH today , ventured to another Agriculture college open day for DS . It was good to check out . Then to DS hockey game late arvo , home by 7 pm ! Think DH clocked up 4 hours driving ! DS was doing homework so did not drive when he was with us .

We had to say goodbye to one of our chooks in the last few days . Hopefully the others will keep laying . We have been buying eggs every few weeks , DS eats a lot of them when home . Itís always been open house on eggs ,they are our go to for a filling breakfast or a lazy quick meal .
Mind you the kittens are trying to get in when I feed the chooks that is not going to be a good outcome in the long run .

So lately when I cook a meal I take a serve for MIL to have the next day . Trying not to do it too often so MIL will keep cooking her main meal at lunchtime. The weather is cold but when the sun is out lately is so stunning . Blossom on the Manturian pears trees ( spelling wrong ,these have no pears on them at all .) a few early spring bulbs out too. Mornings are dark and evenings  are getting lighter .

Yesterday we did sheep field day started off wet cold windy . But not too bad later on . Great to catch up with people , looked at a lot of sites some woman things too. DS caught up with his friends they all moved around together . Friends asked us out to dinner , would have been nice but we were cold tiered and didnít want to wait hour or so to go out . Both of us were so pleased to be home early night needed . Today I went to MILs with DH and we cleaned DH vacuumed her place as she was having a few sewing friends call in to sit and sew . Itís really hard to watch her decline but we are encouraging positive actions .
