Had second helping of beef casserole with lots of veggies and rice. Read an item in the Age which was a comparison between SC and cast iron pots. The pots won out in the testing. I can say I agreed with the results. She did like for like with the recipes. I think when you cook with SC you treat it differently to SC.

Bought 2 chicken Marylands. Thats 4 meals for me. Cooked 2 legs in SC. Made a sauce of satay from Sweet chilli and peanut butter, thinned with chicken stock. Added mushrooms, zucchini and capsicum in last 20 minutes. Served with brown rice. Very nice. Tonight the second serve. Oh, I nearly forgot. Removed legs when cooked and browned them in AF.

I love cooking in my cast iron pot. I agree that food is much nicer.
We are raiding the freezer for meat pies and sausage rolls tonight.

I'm sure your GS will thoroughly enjoy dinner Chookie. We're having a Pepper steak stir fry. I will consult with the rest of the family what to have with it, noodles or rice.
