Marina, for a basic biscuit that can be adapted to any flavour, try my Surprise Biscuits. Cookies suggestions are very good. She is really the expert.
I’m making the base for Brazilian Cheese Puffs to keep in the fridge for baking tomorrow, for visitors. Also , almonds baked in AF and then coated with Smoked paprika to go on the tomato and peach salad.

Katie the peaches are the diced ones in little plastic containers. I’ve made this recipe several times and everyone loves it. It goes very well with chicken and fish.
1 cup of cherry tomatoes cut in half
2 small containers of diced peaches well drained
2 small sprigs of both mint and parsley, chopped
Tablespoon of fruit vinegar.
1 cup of blanched almonds , roasted in AF with a little oil and then dressed with salt and  Sweet Smoked Paprika. ( add these just before serving)

I made a Classic Loaf and a rye SD yesterday. Today will be choc chip and walnut biscuits to take away. It’s sort f become traditional to make these when we go away.

Thanks for all the suggestions for emergency cookies / biscuit, etc.  I will make a note of them all.

Today I made a vegan moussaka, roasted red capsicum and silken tofu pasta sauce and tofu bean chilli.

Marina, again an interesting selection.
It’s always surprising when I have visitors, what catches their attention. I made nibbles to have with drinks before the lunch meal. What they loved was the prawns on water crackers. I topped crackers with smashed avacado ( with lots of lemon juice ), then a cooked jumbo prawn, ( tail removed ), and a squiggle of Japanese mayo. They looked spectacular as well as tasting great.

GC coming for Dinner tonight. Chicken schnitzel, mashed potato, peas and carrots. Gravy. Leftover Basque Cheese cake with berries , that visitors brought yesterday.

That menu sounds great Chookie and I love the idea of the prawn crackers. G keeps me supplied with avocados from his sister’s tree and I recently found that I can eat wafer crackers which I eat topped with French Brie from Costco.

Lovely Judy. Have you tried avocado or don’t you like it?

I can take it or leave it cookie but it’s good for us so I do eat it. One of my drawers in the freezer is half full of it from the previous crop.

Marina, I don’t know how to do a link but will put the recipe on the Forum. Also the recipe is on my blog. Achookwoman.blogspot.com
I don’t particularly like Avocado. I mix it with lots of lemon juice and then find it ok.
Yesterday I made mushroom sauce from Cookidoo. I used water and lemon juice instead of wine and zapped it a little to remove the big lumps. I also left out the onion but added extra chives. It is very nice.
I also boiled some eggs in the 7. I used the egg program. They took 15 minutes and were perfect.
I also made another small white bread loaf in my new bread machine. Perfect size to last a week.

Chookie I quite often use verjuice instead of wine . Have you done the egg mode in the 6 ? I use to do soft boiled eggs for breakfast quite often.

K Atie, I haven’t used the egg mode on the 6. I suppose it’s the same.  I’ve mlenty of verjuice so I’ll give it a try.

I always use Verjuice instead of white wine. I rarely drink nowadays and find it handy. For red wine I buy a bottle and freeze it in 1 cup amounts.

I’m afraid I still boil my eggs in the basket. I know how to get what we like so can’t be bothered changing.
DD used the 7 last night to do the tacos . She said she enjoyed them and has plenty for leftovers tonight.
