i was thinking i'd make the christmas one a bit more open - so either converting or sharing a recipe, OR reviewing one that's here... any other ideas?

As much I as I hate to admit how close Christmas is, I do think it is pretty appropriate so that we all have time to plan to use what we like  ;D

CP63, you naughty girl. Were you under the influence or just having a bet each way?

I think I may have tried to as well, can't remember. Not under the influence just a senior. The hard drive in the memory only stores the essential stuff now a days. :-)) :-))

:D I just wanted to boost up the results for my suggestion  ;D Thought we could really open up the range of recipes with our favourite worldwide chefs. Recently I really enjoyed a show on TV about Margaret Fulton, and as I have a couple of her books I thought it would be nice to have more converted TMX recipes from such an icon. I know she has just put out a Christmas book , but I don't know whether its the Christmas Scrooge coming out in me, however Christmas books just don't do it for me. (Having said that, I will get the TM book that has just come out haha)

It was a great program and featured some of my favourite chefs.  I was fortunate enough to be on a shared table with Margaret and her daughter Suzanne on Monday and congratulated her on the program.  She says that the main thing was being able to record some of the icons apart from herself, such as Damien, Cheong, Stephanie (although some of the archival footage was actually Stephanie's sister!), and other chefs.

She is still very switched on at 85 and was quick to point out to people that they were given teeth to chew with, when the tenderness of meat was being discussed.

I should get back to converting recipes rather than gallivanting around eating out.

Oh you lucky thing! She certainly has a twinkle in her eye and doesn't miss a beat. I loved seeing her kitchen -- hasn't even changed from the old days. I have been ducking into secondhand bookshops to see if there are any old copies of her books, as mine are the new ones, and I just want to have a look at the oldies.

Her older books are wonderful. I have a couple that I still refer to frequently. She is a wonderful lady. Thermomixer you were a lucky  man to meet her and her daughter.
