Deedub the garlic met wurst is lovely. I'm going to buy some more tomorrow.

CC today has been hot but every other day has been lovely. Sometimes the mornings have been very cold. We are hoping that it cools down a bit for when we do the big drive over the Nullabor. It isn't fun if it is too hot.

Well today was our last day of goofing round and sight seeing. Tomorrow we go to Port Augusta and then begin the long trek home. We can't take any fruit or vegetables over the border into WA so I must work out exactly how much I need until then.
Today we went to Kapunda, then Eudunda and back to Nuriootpa. We went to Maggie Beers farm shop and had afternoon tea. It was very nice. I bought a couple of things there. I love her verjuice but I can get it at home for the same price.
.  The main street of Kapunda. .  A statue of Colin Thiele an Australian author in Eudunda. .  A few of Maggie Beer's foods. You can sample everything.

The samplings are great but I wish they put out some of her 'bark' to go with the pates and relishes.  Guess people would double dip though.

Today we moved from Nuriootpa to Port Augusta. The drive leaving the Barossa valley was very pretty and it was also lovely through the Clare Valley. The rolling hills round Kapunda and Crystal Brook are also beautiful.
We had the wind as a cross wind today, hopefully it is not against us as we go home . Towing the van it uses more fuel. It cost us $211 to fill up this afternoon.
DH was VERY ( yes I am shouting) bad today. He said we had enough fuel to get here, no worries. Then I noticed about 10 km out that the fuel light was on.  I wasn't very impressed. It's his job to keep an eye on that. Hopefully we haven't sucked up any gunk from the bottom of the tank. Time will tell.
. Just out of Nuriootpa.
. We've noticed this growing wild all over SA.
. This is where we had lunch, just out of Clare.

We're in Ceduna for tonight. We drove for about 7 hours and decided to call it a day. The weather is cool and overcast. In fact we had a tiny bit of rain. We passed through quite a few wheat farming towns today. They are harvesting the crops here. Further south they don't look asa though they will be ready for a while.
Tomorrow we head out where there is round 200 km between roadhouses. Still a fair bit of traffic though. We were surprised today, asa we didn't see many trucks.
Thank you Judy for helping to make our trip so special and spoiling us. Thanks to Karen and her family for the lovely day, to ES, Trudy, Katie and Amanda for the chats etc. a bid thanks to Amanda for helping with photos. I haven't tried it much yet but will when we get home.
. A couple of over width vehicles on the road today.
. Iron Knob. Some of you may remember learning about it at school.
. The big galah in Kimba.
. A granite statue to the Australian Farmer in Wudinna.
. I think this is self explanatory, and yes it is for use.
