I had such a wonderful day at Karen's.  The time just went so quickly.  She has a great kitchen with such wonderful views - I'm very envious (now I'm back in my baby one)!!!!  It was also nice to meet Cookie and her Husband who I hadn't met before.
Great food and wonderful company.
Thanks so much Karen, Michael, Connor & Callum

We did have a lovely day.  Thank you again Karen and family for your wonderful hospitality, inviting us into your home (which is amazing).  It was lovely to see everyone and to meet those I hadn't met before.

I don't think we took any photo's of the food DJ - we were too busy eating and talking!

My DH appreciated his plate of leftovers  ;D
and JD you left your cardigan in my car

So gals to hear it was such fun.
We so hope we get Australia one day.
My family are so amused and entranced by all my far away friends, and enjoying the food. Although when I make a good bread, they sometimes get annoyed when I experiment again, but then we get a better one!

Six lovely hours with beautiful people and 2 wonderful little boys who were so well behaved.  A kitchen we would all like to be able to call our own and views to compete the setting.  What a lovely day, thank you girls for all the food, stories and laughs and to Cookie & Karen's DH's for adding to the occasion. I don't know about you but I am so tired now and I didn't really even do anything today - thanks for the lift Katie. Sue, it was nice to have you join us for the trip up into the hills and then to meet your DH & DS when we dropped you back home.

From L - R Cookie, Katiej, Judy front, Karen back, Trudy, Emerald Sue and Amanda.

Katie, I wondered where it got left.  No worries, keep it until we catch up again.

Katie is right - we were to busy eating and talking to take photos of the food - but my DH took a photo of the leftovers  ;)

It certainly was fun, and Karen's boys are lovely children.
The food was awesome and I got to taste things I have not  made. DH and I didn't really want any dinner.
He was very impressed with your steam oven Karen.

Amanda, Katie, Trudy , Karen, DH and boys so lovely to meet you.  Sue great to see you again and Judy you are so kind and caring. What can I say.
I'd love to do the same thing for any of you when you come tothe west.  :)

DS was on the phone tonight to his Nannie in WA, talking about the day .....

"There were SO many visitors here today Nannie - about 50 I think - and guess what - they all had a thermomix too and made lots of yummy food - and guess what Nannie - there were 2 ladies there (cookie and JD) who can read us books just as good as you do!"

 ;D ;D ;D  High praise indeed  ;)

Well I am a grandma so have done it before Callum - that is so cute Karen.  They were both so appreciative of the time we spent with them at the end of the day.

This is so lovely to read about.

To be in Farming is to be in a tribe, methinks Thermomix ownership is another tribe too.

Today we left the lovely Adelaide and moved south to Victor Harbor. (that isn't my bad spelling, that is how they spell harbour).
There were a few largish hills coming down here. The car certainly got a work out towing the van..when the van is loaded it weighs close to 2000 kg.  lucky the car is about 2500 kg.
We stopped for coffee at the top of a hill, there was a lookout there and it was beautiful. Went through lots of wine growing country. It is only about 80 km. after we set up camp we went driving. We heard that the fairy penguins are not as plentiful on Granite Island. ( just off Victor Harbor). Apparently they have done some development on the island and blasted, and of course the little penguins lived among the rocks. They have also had trouble with youths hurting them. It was ever so sad. This was were we had coffee, a lovely lookout.
Looking at Granite Island from Victor Harbor.
An island off the coast here. Amanda told me about photo toaster and I have been trying to have a play a round with it.
