That sounds lovely KAtie.
I had my hair cut early then went to the podiatrist. On the way home I called at my favourite little Italian shop.

KAtie, I had a day like you - so many customers, suppliers, friends and other violin makers came in bearing delicious food and treats - I think I will not have to cook or bake anything sweet for days (fortunately, the rest of our staff indulged too, so we "shared the love" with them thus saving me from eating many hundreds of calories!).

Marina and Katie, sounds lovely. I’m exhausted, people coming and going all day. Yes, bringing food gifts. All shared around. Too much excitement and I can’t sleep.

Well very late yesterday we found out Christmas is cancelled!! Oh dear , family member is not good at all . So I have a ham and ice cream plum pudding! It’s was overwhelming but we decided to opt for having Lunch out , just happen to see a very special place had just had an opening for 4 ! So after tons of logistics especially for DD work , I booked , never have not been at home for lunch . Strange and overwhelming. So now I’ve gone into clean mode ! Front door back door bathroom completely top to toe clean ! Washed sheets , aired DD room . Really I haven’t even started wrapping presents. Also it’s cold so fire going . Boys gone to Ballarat to do Christmas shopping , this could mean we all get tools , hehe . Now I best go have a shower wash my hair and start on the present wrapping . Also work out dinner as will be going to those pesky Christmas Eve carols , oh dear I also have to dip DD shortbread in chocolate! Oops .

That’s not good KAtie. It’s a bit like that around here at the moment, but our Christmas will be going ahead.

Lovely to see the forum back again.
MM gets quite a few emails from Judy and I when it’s down.
I hope everyone had a pleasant Christmas and now New Year is almost upon us.

Good to be up and running again - I was actually not expecting to see it live this morning when I opened it.  Dare I say it, but I can't help but think that MM has lost interest in the forum??  It always seems to go down at holiday periods and it will be a great pity if "he pulls the plug completely".

Having said all that, I hope everyone had a great Xmas and are looking forward to 2026.

Not sure what is happening to all of us.  Just spent 2 days in hospital. Every test you a think of. Very severe pain down left arm.  Pinched nerve in neck. DS and DD looked after things. On heavy medication, can’t drive. Friends and neighbours wonderful. Had cortisone injection in neck. Not sure that it will work. It can take awhile to work.
I won the jackpot. Had the most amazing Dr. The ambulance refused to take me to St John’s, only to the Base Hospital. I drove myself. St John’s on standby but have to see you if you turn up.

Sorry to hear that Chookie, fingers crossed that improvement happens quickly and the problem doesn’t return. Looks like you’ll be resting up for a while and thank goodness for the support you have. Take care 😘

That sounds terrible Chookie.  I hope you have a quick recovery and that the cortisone works for you - I had a cortisone injection back in April or May and was told it would last for 6 months - so far it has been 100% effective and the problem has not returned - hopefully the injection broke the pain cycle, which is what they were hoping for, and that everything will be fine into the future.

Oh Chookie that is awful. So wonderful that your family are there for you. I sincerely hope things improve rapidly.

My SIL is home from hospital as she is able to walk with the chemical nerve block. Now my brother can care for her at home as he has his radiation treatment.

Take care Chookie. ❤️
