So far a lazy day - it's 10.00 am and I am only just getting started.
Hope I don't run out of any ingredients for cooking today - there is a big truck show in the next village so the roads will full of trucks all over the place and it's a nightmare getting into and out of Castlemaine on these weekends. At least it's only for one weekend a year and it's good for the community.

Another appointment in the morning for DH Cortisone injection in his shoulder ! I think the week will be interesting. Saw DS as he returned home from up north . Hopefully he catches up on some rest , and all his clothes are red , so he said he is going to try to fix that !! So blessed to have independent young adults ( yes I’ll be asked to do the tricky ones of course) .

Yesterday I hosted 10 lady friends from Probus for lunch. They all brought a plate of food. Amazingly they cleaned up and washed up and didn’t want to go home. I’d say it was a success.
I’ve recently started doing mind exercises. There are several available on the iPad for free. Most test your skills before you start so you have a base line to show improvement. One tested I Q. Apparently I’m smarted than Marilyn Munro but not as smart as Steve Jobs.

Well I hope your base line goes up to match that of Steve Jobs Chookie 😁
It’s easy to feel comfortable in your home so not surprised the ladies were reluctant to leave yesterday.

That sounds lovely Chookie.
I did very little today. It was 39° here today.
Yesterday we had our car club lunch.

Sounds like a lovely day Chookie . love to know the mind game . We gad the coldest all weather day , hail sunshine warmth , patchy rain - absolutely crazy rain in every direction. Also it snowed at Mt Bulller . DH dad his shoulder done . DD was unwell so Mum Uber eats ! Lots of medicine and food . DS had lots of stories to tell over dinner .

Xmas lunch for Probus today. I’m to look after a new member.
Katie, the 3 games I do are Lumosity, you can choose to do 3 puzzles a day at no cost.
Brain Track is once a month and put out by Dementia Australia. You may choose to have your results used for research. After you have done the basic evaluation, they give you a report on your thinking processes and your brain age. I’m a bit skeptical about this as they said my brain age is 20 years lower than my actual age.
Elevate, this is a bit different but also daily.
If you do other number or word puzzles these are good also. I find Mah Jong good for my type of thinking. But it also explained why I find it so easy to convert recipes to TMX.

Those games sound like something I should be doing, Chookie ... but I'm not. Probably reluctant as my mother and many of her siblings had dementia and both my sister and I are apprehensive - unless if, by good fortune, we take after our dad's side. I have my reservations about that.
Got my hair cut today - 10 months since my last cut and it was getting so shaggy and long I finally got fed up with it. Even my hairdresser commented that he had never seen me with such long hair before. No there is nothing left up there to run my fingers through - very strange!
