KAtie how exciting. We lived in Carnamah for 3 years. Don’t forget to go and see the big tractor. It will be hard to miss as it’s on the main road. There is a nice caravan park in Carnamah. It’s a small country town but we enjoyed our time there. Coorow (the town before Carnamah) has a good caravan park too.  Three Springs the next town up the road has an excellent free camping area too.  I’m quite jealous as we would normally be up there this time of the year, but with the motorhome back at the dealers we are stuck at home.
Tapatalk isn’t working for me, but I posted about the big tractor here. https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=10298.msg455917;topicseen#msg455917

We are here Cookie a mad dash from field day Dowien . Yes we are at the caravan park ! Tomorrow see the enormous tractor ( DH main reason for coming ! )Saw a few wild flowers on the side of the road , but amazing canola crops lupins an and barley . Think we have had less sleep than any time in our lives all super tired. Tomorrow we will then head to the coast to Dong… we stopped for a very needed boys stop and DS picked a few flowers .. sweet as I could not see alot of the scenery. Well you can but not the left side very well .

KAtie I’m glad you are there. As you go to Dongara you will pass through Three Springs. I taught there for 3 years. It maybe wise to tell DS not to pick the wildflowers. He will be shot at dawn if he’s caught. It is totally illegal to pick wildflowers here. You will probably see lots of everlastings on the road to Three Springs. You may have gone through a siding called Caron on your way to Carnamah, there are beautiful orchids near the dam there.

The coal seam at Dongara should be full of flowers too.

That all sounds lovely.
We were nearly blown away last night. There is also more water on the wetland than I have seen in the 2 1/2 years I have been here.
Orange and whiskey marmalade proving very popular. Must make some more today.

Thank you Cookie , we have seen a bit of wildflowers so good to get your info ! Coldstream was amazing had to go through water to get there ! Oops . But today we could not go on the sand track into a reserve ( name later ) but sand track was not a go zone for the van . DS got bitten alive , but DH and I walked in a way and saw so many different flowers and an orchid too ! Spay on then back . DS had 10 bites no way was he going back . Wish we could have gone in further. Tonight at Jurien Bay . But amazing beach stops . Not enough time . We are all tired , need sleep . Not sure about this particular van as it rattles do much , but I’m the extra passenger. Oh and it leaks ! On the lower edge of the windows at the Bach were we sleep . The cushions were wet when I made up the bed . Not badly so we worked around it towels and drying out the bottom bed sheet but all the use of it constantly and shaking would break the seals I’d imagine. It’s only a 2024 model.
