I was wondering what was happening with your budgie, Cookie.  Hope you catch him / her soon.

I don't use that spatula a lot, either, only if I need to lift the basket out of the TMX - I was just surprised at the condition it was in when I went to use it.  Hopefully I can find another safe way of taking the basket out.

Marina I have never used the spatula to lift the basket out. I use a large table fork.
Tai Chi and some phone calls and paper work for Probus .picking up small boy from school and driving him to activities. His mum is away.

I must have asbestos fingers as I just pull the basket out with my hands. That TM spatula is only used here for stirring whilst the machine is going when making coleslaw etc.

Marina  CB one of my older spatulas has crumbled too. I use a mixture of spatulas.
Days seem to pass too quickly at the moment! I was very lucky to be at Chookie’s demo of TM7 ( thank you Chookie it was lovely to catch up in person ) I understand what Chookie means by a different machine. I want expecting that . Just cooking here and trying to keep warm .

The house seemed very quiet today without the blue feathered friend “helping” me all the time. So I cooked lots. It kept me busy.

I’ve been thinking about why the  7 is producing some sauces different from former TMX  models.  The blades are the same size but the base of the bowl is larger. Therefore the heating surface is bigger. This means that the same recipe, same time but more heat is going to give a different result. Hope this makes sense.

Zoom meeting and film with Probus today. Haven’t a clue what we are seeing. Lunch box provided. I spent most of yesterday doing a trial pack for my holiday.. I thought the 15 k weight would be the problem but the size of the case was the real limitation. .

I only really use the spatula for taking the steaming bowl out. But when we take our thermomix away camping I take it because it does two jobs in one. My favourite ones are the flex core spatulas for everyday use.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts.  DD brought me home from hospital late Monday night after a holdup with some test results. I'm told that the operation was successful and took about 2 1/2 hours and another couple of hours in recovery.  I am back on soft foods for another week before I can start to eat anything solid.   DD was wonderful, she came and sat with me all day every day and took notes on everything the doctors said I would have been lost without her.

Today I went for some blood tests and then DH and I picked up a few groceries.  It's good to be home.

The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Margaret that is good news. I agree with you and Judy. Daughters are special.
I did the grocery shopping and then this afternoon DHand I drove down to Mandurah to pick up a Tilta trailer he had bought. It poured all the way.

Mab, it is so good to hear from you . Wonderful that everything is ok. We can’t manage in these situations without support from family. Take it easy and let them spoil you.
