Good luck with the packing Chookie.

Supermarket shopping this morning and then the chemist. The chemist  had a big table set out for the biggest morning tea and they were offering everyone tea or coffee and something to eat.  All very nicely done.

I’ve been sitting round feeling sorry for myself. My skin specialist suggested I use the horrid skin eating cream on my face. I’ve been using it for 9 days and my face is a mess. It’s supposed to attack the solar keratosis and burn them off. Your face blisters and then when you stop the nasties are gone. Your skin then regenerates.  I contacted the doctor re my reaction and he said to stop the cream. My face is so sore and swollen, I can barely see out of my eyes. I will have to be able to see well next week as my 7 arrives. I’ve used a different brand of cream before and it was fine.

Cookie, I feel for you. Dr gave me antibiotics. They cause Oral Thrush.
Bought a new car yesterday. Can’t pick it up until the 2 nd of July. My old one was 10 years old. It’s a Merc 300 Wagon. Bit smaller than the old one. Pearl white.
Also some more glass containers. I’ve replaced all the plastic ones now. Has taken over a year to do this. I only but them when on special.

Well done Chookie on your new car . And enjoy your trip on the Gahn , one thing DH would like to do . Now I am getting over my car decided after a glorious day at book club to be completely dead .. like nothing when you opened the door . I decided to leave it at girlfriend’s till the morning then try everything. We had the worst frost overnight so waited till mid morning. Then we tried our own lithium jump start unit . It just didn’t get it going so we used the Ute ( much to my horror) . Charged it over night at home and all seems ok ! But the stress of trying to get roadside and thinking I’d have to tray it to Ballarat . Made me very anxious. Today we are by the fire it’s windy dusty cold and the odd drizzle . It’s my turn to drive DGFs  out tonight !

Cookie, that sounds nasty I hope your skin recovers quickly.

We have been having a few problems with the water pipes and taps so we have called a plumber.  It will be a few days before he can come so today I have cleaned out the cupboards under the sink and bathroom basins so everything is clear just incase he comes whilst I'm not home.

Long weekend is going to be very social. Morning tea today with new Probus friends and Monday, lunch with Tai Chi friends. DD in Queensland kayaking DS. at snow skiing.  What a great place Australia is. No Political dinosaurs publicly fighting and frightening the world.

I sat around being a misery guts again today. My eyes are almost shut with the swelling. I detest not being able to see properly.

Cookie, hang in there, if you can read this.! Fortunately all things pass. I keep telling myself this. I’ve had Oral Thrush. Caused by antibiotics.
It’s raining, lovely sound.
Quick trip to Supermarket, more jam making and getting ready for next weekend. TMX demo on Saturday and 14 for afternoon tea on Sunday.
Had coffee with a member from another Probus club. Opened up a whole new world. I’ve never liked the local cafe, but discovered that  it’s a meeting place on Saturday morning for lots of people about my age.

Cookie I feel for you, what a nasty reaction you had, you probably can’t even read a book - I hope things improve very quickly.
