It looks like so many of us have been battling with various health issues for a while now - some on-going, some new.  I guess age is a factor, but I hope, one way or another, we can all come through this and have much improved day to day lives.

Take care everyone and look after yourselves

DH finally finished working in our bedroom - 3 coats of paint over Easter then putting our new Ikea furniture together yesterday.  The room is still in uproar as we didn't have time to tidy it up completely, but it looks really good.  The curtains, which I loathe, will be next to go when I have time to do something about them!

I went to see my brother this morning. It's almost an hour each way. I don't like driving my little Suzuki on the road to his place. Most of it is the road that the trucks use to go north. My car feels so tiny compared to them and I don't like driving it over 85kph and the speed limit is higher than that. I preferred my Hilux for those trips. I might take DH's Hilux next time.

cookie. My DD often drives her mini over from Melbourne and there are some trucks which get right up her backside. That would scare the daylight out of me. Your DH’s vehicle sounds like a good option to me.

Cookie, I feel for you. Take the bigger car next time. I don’t drive on the freeways anymore.

Yesterday I was asked for a very simple recipe for the Probus Newsletter. This is what I sent.
This was served for afternoon tea, at Bishopscourt in Melbourne. The official residence of the Archbishop of Melbourne.
1 square jam filled lamington
A generous swirl of cream
A large strawberry, sliced to fan out.
