That is very sad for that lady - it will be a huge wrench for her.

Marina, saw a notice . don’t drink the water when it is switched back on. Contaminated.
Mab, for a year, I’ve been switching from plastic to glass containers. Difficult to find small ones.  I wait until they are 1/2 price and buy a couple.
Mab, great about the Risotto.  Very easy to make in TMX. .
Today, Dr for injection, then helping make floral sprays for Probus Mother’s Day.

Thanks for that Chookie - Coliban Water even had a water truck in the village reserve for everyone to access clean water.  I just filtered then boiled and boiled and boiled the tap water then filtered it again.  It tasted terrible after all the boiling and filtering, but it was OK for drinking.  I think the 'gold standard' for contaminated water is actually a 20 minute boil; I figured I boiled c. 10 minutes plus two filterings - it must be OK, I am here to tell the tale, anyway!

Today was another visit to the GP (she thinks I have an abscess in my lip) then off to the podiatrist for a new set of orthotics - in 2 weeks he will take a plaster cast of my foot and sort out a customised orthotic for me whilst we are away.

All good Marina. I don’t think we pay enough attention to our drinking water.
Probus Monthly meeting. I’m giving a report on the Probus Information Day I attended last week.
It’s also our Mother’s Day celebration. We have been asked to bring something of interest that belonged to our mothers. I’m taking a crochet rug and a sterling silver spoon. The story behind the spoon takes some telling, so if a lot of people bring stuff, I’ll show the rug.

Cortisone injections (3) into my foot this morning for pain relief during our holiday.  I think I will also take the moon boot if things don't settle down before we leave.

Marina that’s not good. I hope the cortisone injections work for you.
How is your lip? It sounds painful.

Our new budgie is making life very different. He doesn’t like to stay in his cage as all others have done. Not for any time at all. He likes to sit on your shoulder and chat or run around the floor and get into everything. I’m terrified if I vacuum he will get sucked up and if I iron he will get burnt.
It was good at first but now it’s annoying. Lucky he is cute.

K Atie, that sounds traumatic.  Do you know what caused the fainting / vomiting?  It was fortunate that you were with your friends and they were able to look after you.  Perhaps you should just take it easy for a couple of weeks, if that is at all possible for someone as busy as you. Take care.
