Had another adventure filled day yesterday - nowhere as dramatic as Friday!

I went outside to unload our car and met up with a gorgeous wee dog - possibly Jack Russell or Fox terrier cross - anyway, he was gorgeous and, unfortunately, he had taken a liking to our wood pile; there must have been a rabbit under there at some stage, but it was long gone by then.  He was such a wee thing that he was able to crawl right under the wood and was pulling pieces out!  I became concerned that he may undermine the wood to the extent that it would collapse on top of him so I took him inside and tried to find his owner, to no avail, so I decided to take him for a walk and he could find his own way home. That didn't work either, he was having a grand time taking me for "walkies" all around the village and being admired by everyone I asked if they recognised him (stopping to inspect every tree on the way, of course).  Everyone pointed me to a different house, so I got to meet an awful lot of people I had never met and visited a lot of houses I had never been to. I eventually came across a family at the pub and they didn't know him either, but then the publican came out and he knew the dog and his owner, so all was well.  At least next time wee Banjo comes calling, I have a vague idea of where he lives ... and it was in the opposite direction he took me for his little walk  ;D

It sounds as though he is a very clever dog Marina.

Chookie that cake cooler is beautiful. It was obviously needed, so someone made it.

Blimey girls, everyone has had a busy time. I’ve been sorting out bakeware. A few things I had forgotten I owned. ;)

It's  like an adventure Denise. I love finding something in the back of the cupboard. This morning I made a Classic Loaf and fed up my rye starter to make a rye SD loaf. https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=17314.0
I will make and cook that tomorrow.

As usual my rye loaves are battling to rise. I may pop the oven on to 40* and do it in there. I've needed to do that a lot this winter, mainly with the SD loaves.

We went and had coffee with friends this morning. We have a McDonalds mid way between us and it makes reasonable coffee at the McCafe part. It seems everyone was doing it this morning as we had to park in the near by shopping centre. We hope to go away for 4 sleeps with them in a couple of weeks, checking out the wildflowers near where I grew up.

Cookie, no fridge here for the first mix of SD.  It is so cold inside that I just leave it in an unheated room.  Rye takes even longer.
Marina,  that is bad luck that you found the owner :o.
Yesterday I bought a 13 inch MacBook Pro,  without the bar. My old computer is 10 years old.
Apple kept the new one and transferred all the info over,  overnight. (They call it migration)
I am still having trouble attaching photos to the recipe text.  Apple are going to ring me at 10 am tomorrow to see if they can sort me out.  I hope the person who rings is very patient.
I bought a pair of Perry Cutten black slacks. I think they are 3/4 on most people, but for me they are just right.
Also visited a wonderful Italian grocer in Carlton.  Bought lots of stuff that I shouldn’t have.  Large block of Parmesan, Fontina cheese, 8 jars of Baby Clams, Anchovies and Italian wafer biscuits.

You have such fun shopping whilst in Melbourne Chookie.  Your grandchildren can’t help you with the photo posting?

Chookie being a short person has advantages sometimes. Like you I can buy trousers that should be 3/4 length and on me they are a perfect full length.

Hopefully the Apple person can help you.

I'm vertically challenged as well and always look for 3/4 pants too.

Grocery shopping today.

Vertically challenged people RULE!  ;D ;D ;D ;D
I have been menu planning very slowly this morning. DD is expecting some records to arrive and as it is freezing, windy and pouring I said I would go grocery shopping after they arrive. I hope it's soon as I am nearly out of milk for my coffee!

I was pleasantly surprised Judy. The parcel post lady usually comes about 1.30 and today it was a different person and they came around 11.30.  I had a quick lunch and braved the wild weather.

The problem I am having with posting photos on my Blog seems to be a Blogger/ iPad issue.
I have set up my new MacBook Pro and I. can  now post photos.  I still have to fiddle around a bit but with more experimenting it should get easier.
Better look for a new recipe to convert. !
