Good luck CP, hope all is well Mab.

Started the granny blanket from the Attic24 website after supper. Did a bit of food shopping from the whole food store:jumbo oats, nuts, chia seeds, raisins, cranberries and bran etc. Plus milk and bread and a few other things from the village shop. It's worth shopping local every so often to keep these local shops going, otherwise it's ten plus miles to town.

Nothing nicer than fresh produce, and having a walk around looking at all the different stuff on offer and a chat to the stall holders.

Great picks Chookie. It's easy to picture you and Ral doing the rounds of the market.

How lovely chookie and what did you donate?
I took a basket of Nectarines, jam, pickles, Rosemary and Bay leaves.
All the things in the photo were from the swap stall. The only things I bought were 2 Kale plants and Ral bought us each a coffee. It was probably the best market for the year as we are all producing lots in our cold climate.  I think I enjoy swapping recipes as much as the swap.
There are always surprises.  One of the members makes jan and sells it online. He donated some plum jam which was said to be a French recipe.  Very nice with a nice tart tang.  I would say 50% sugar to fruit.
Everyone is very generous with their donations.

Cookie, not too many around our way, Kalamunda Markets are worth a visit, but only held 1st Saturday of the month.
I know the one in Albany is good if you are around there on a weekend.

The farmers market swap stall sounds like great fun Chookie.
Is that a bottle of coke?

For lunch today we had the Skinnymixers beef massaman curry. DH said it was the best Thai curry he'd ever tasted (including those from Thai restaurants).  It was delicious, left overs for tomorrow nights dinner as well.

Tonight we are going to see Paul Simon & Sting in concert. It's an outside concert, so we'll probably  be buying our dinner from a food van (not sure I'm looking forward to that!).
