Kyton that will be exciting maybe a new toy or colouring in book will take their mind off things.

It is not always the kids that do the countdown my DH said last night there is only 321 sleeps till we go away.

Yvette, can I make a confession? I do the same thing to my husband at night in bed when the kids aren't around LOL. I have a countdown app on the iPad which tells me exactly how many days, hours, mins, secs!

My 7yr old daughter will be even more excited as I have just found out her best friend will be at one of our resorts for two days overlapping ours. They squeal enough when we tell them they can have a play date so can just imagine the reaction over a Hawaiian play date!

Holiday plans sound exciting... still can't decide whether to go to Greece this year or not, the in-laws are putting on the pressure (they have a house on an island and go there every year). I'm put off by the thought of another looooong flight with the kids, and the expense, and trying to get time off work etc etc. Plus they're talking about not being there for August (too hot!) which would be when we'd like to go  ;).

Working from home today - kids are at home because of a teacher's strike, so not my usual nice quiet Thursday! Just noticed I got paid today, so might take a peek at the shopping thread.....

Yes, my MIL really struggled with the heat last year so she's keen to go to England in August (she's English). We've been twice before, it's lovely once you're there, but the travelling is a killer! If we do go, I'm tempted to go to London first for a couple of days and show the girls some of the sights. They're big fans of 'Horrible Histories' on telly so I'm sure they'd love to see the Tower! Plus there's a direct flight from Gatwick to Limnos via Thomas Cook, save having to go to Athens first and hang around the airport waiting for the night flight.
Another issue is they always have loads of visitors while they're there, so have to try to fit in around them....

Think I should make some enquiries about flights and take it from there....

Isn't it funny how flights aren't an issue until you mix in kids LOL? I could fly on the roughest airline, never cared about what the hotel looked like etc. now with kids it's all about how long is the flight, where will we stay, is there a kitchenette, don't forget to book a carseat for the rental car etc etc.
