Girls will be girls and they will sort it out one way or another Marina.  Love your stories, have you ever had the desire to write a humorous book. I think it would be a best seller LOL.

LOL is right, Judy ... it would comprise perhaps 2 pages at best, and you have already read the entire works over the years!!

Loved your clucky  Chook tale, Marina. We also have a clunky one. I’ve given up on her. Sometimes another Chook will sit on her and lay an egg.
I’ve been reading about all the varieties of Hot Cross Buns for this Easter. I’m too much of a traditionalist to call the other bun Hot Cross Buns. However I do fancy dried cherries soaked in rum with chocolate chips and Cardamon. No crosses on these.
The Guardian News paper has 3 custard recipes by Sally Wise. One is a custard bun. Sweet bun mixture , filled with a little custard and baked.

The on-going saga of Miss Broody and Miss Timid!

Well, not surprisingly, when I went up to the hens today, Miss Broody had taken over one of the other nesting boxes, the good news is that there were even a couple of eggs this morning - I am assuming neither of them courtesy of Miss B.  Miss Timid seems to have got over the shock of the soup pot, but I have taken it out now seeing as Miss B is determined that she is not going to do what I want her to do, that is, stop being broody, and she will take over any of the other nesting boxes she wants ... SO THERE, to you you pesky human!  I picked her up out of her nesting box and have put her with the other hens now and things seem to have settled down, but I doubt that that will last long!  Luckily for me, although she threatened, she hasn't pecked me, just knocked her beak against my hand once or twice to show her displeasure.

The saga of Miss B and Miss T. I love it Marina.
Judy, I don’t think we realise how much we use our thermomix until it’s not available.
Chookie all those sweet rolls sound delicious. I will have to see if I can find them.

DD and I have a b it of a cold, mainly sneezing. As I’m having lots of afternoon sleeps DD said I had to do a RAT.  It will affect her going to work if I have. After much persuasion I did. DH instructed as he has to do them before he can see MIL. It was negative so D D has to go to work. 😀😀😀😀

Tried to send this to you Cookie, but in my usual ignorance couldn’t do it. Sorry it is scribbled.  It is really just the recipe without the automatic steps. Need the consultant to teach me how to do this.

Well done Marina , broody chook is so annoying. My bantam does it too . Last time shared a laying box with another chook , drove me crazy as they only lay in one box .
Lockdown boredom did some house work, filled up the bins and now my knees hurt today . Lots of energy yesterday . Going to try to do some reading .

Thanks for that Chookie.

I did some baking this morning and then slept this afternoon. It was a public holiday here today.

I did my grocery shopping this morning. I am truly shocked at the way prices have gone up. DH's yoghurt has gone up by $1.50 for 1 kg. The margarine I use for cooking has gone up $1.50 a tub. (DH has cholesterol dramas) Other small things have gone up by 50 cents an item. I don't think the fuel prices are helping. Our shelves are almost back to being fully stocked again which is lovely.
I will now stop whining. :D :D :D :D

I shopped yesterday and I agree with you Cookie the prices of things have gone up so much.  A lot of our shelves were empty as well, very little sugar & flour, vinegar, some butter & cheese as well as some frozen goods and other items.

We had a visit to the doctor in the afternoon.  No problems.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I did the ironing this morning while DH was out helping a friend. Now I am tossing up if I should have a little nap.

Took another 7 bales of Sugarcane mulch to finish the front garden bed.
Another Dr appointment today.
Yesterday we cleaned DD large living area carpet with the Bissell machine. Did an amazing job.
