Probably have to wait until after I get home don't think a stiff drink at 7.30am  would be a good idea   I did have a hot cup of tea though cc

Morning all.
Better get going, 11 for lunch for Mothers Day. First big lunch at Invermay. Looks like we can probably seat 20+ if need be.
No rain yet.

Had some wonderful rain overnight, good and steady, it's great.  Weather forecast says this is the end of our wonderfully warm, sunny and dry autumn.  I will miss the good weather, but so very pleased that we are getting some rain at last.

Back to work tomorrow after having DH away from his workbench for four days - he is recovering well, but, although he has not had any pain from his operation, I think he underestimated the effect the anaesthetic would have on his system as he has, for the first time I can remember in a great many years, just rested and taken it easy - he is not good at doing nothing and I was expecting a severe case of 'cabin fever' by the second day of his convalescence.  It will be hard for him once he is back at work to continue doing nothing too tiring for another few days, but hopefully everything will be fine - he has been saving up paperwork so that he can sit and do that (which means that I am going to be hit with heaps of typing!)  :P

Good morning everyone, Happy Mothers' Day to all our Aussie members.

Enjoy your first MD in your new house Chookie and Marina I'm glad your stay back home was not frought with frustration and boredom for your DH.

My youngest DD is bringing freshly baked scones into the nursing home for Mum and me then after that I'll be off to the football.  I don't know where the big storm got to, we only received 4 mm here overnight.  The barometer is still showing rain though so I daresay there is more to come today. Enjoy your day everyone.
