Well at the time I was 16 and he was 25 ;D The age gap was a little too big. And besides, he was a bit of a slob..... :P

Sorry Amy but that made me LOL!!  :D

As for moving to another country....I did it, I know NZ to Aus is not that far, but my Dad still tried to talk me out of it, (to the point of I'll give you your 21st birthday present when you marry a kiwi - needless to say I never got it!!)  Been here over 7 years now and back to visit only once, they come moire often tho.  :)
Glad you are back on Gert. And your DIL sounds lovely!  :)

Just heard about this yesterday and was wondering if it is true.  Do they have classes now for grandparents  ???
I think they were serious about it and was wondering if Uni and CC had attended these classes, what did you learn ? :D ;D

I walked out the door of my home in the States with 2 suitcases, Got on a plane for Australia  with no real idea where it was and have been here ever since. That was 1965.

Sounds like you have a wonderful family.
I love my DIL's and SIL's too and so glad they are in my family.
You must miss them being so far away but what a wonderful experience they are having.  :D
