My son and teacher being farewelled  at his school in Murwillumbah. He will be joining his family in India on the weekend. They will be pleased to see him . My DIL has been using her Thermothingy  to make things to sell at the market near their home in Mayapur.

He will obviously be missed at school but a very welcome reunion with DW and family.

You will miss him too Gert. A nice vacation though to visit.

It's sad when our kids leave the country but who are we to stop them - I just won't talk to mine if they do that to me  :D

Hopefully you are planning on going to visit the family up there Gretchen, you might like it so much you won't want to come home ;)

URGENT Nut question.

For the spiced  brazens and sugared nut recipes (JD)  are they blanched almonds? Obviously cashews are without covers, the cheapest almonds I can get are with skins.
Thanks

Frozzie my DIL is actually French!  He mother was French Vietnamese and her father is French Algerian.  Her family, live in France but they all gravitate to India . Fortunately they have many friends from all over the world who visit . Maybe they will live there a few years and maybe not. Anyway a great experience for them all.

I have been to India  and may visit them or maybe not. There is always face time and face book. They are all pretty tech savvy including my 6 Year old granddaughter . Makes be giggle .
