Gretchen a quick question for you since you are a nurse:My son 15 keeps getting stomach tightening pain hard to describe have had blood tests nothing, so I though it must be food related. Had an allergy test and he was allergic to mainly nuts and soy.So my question is as soy is in nearly everything does it build up in your system or does it get out. He has been healthy all term and this week has had two days off. Just wondering how the body works eg if he has a small amount of soy will that get out or build up and then make him sick
Thanks Gert it only ever happens in the mornings it is not a bad pain like rolling on the floor in pain. I have been keeping an eye on his food intake and there doesn't seem to be a link with the foods he has eaten. I am going to cut out processed foods chips, twisties etc and do some more home baking and see it that works.
No not every day Gert just two days this term and not just week days. His bowels are fine and very regular. It has been going on since last year on and off. He is a very easy going boy and not a stress head so he is not worried or anxious about anything, has a great group of friends. He will also talk to me about anything so nothing is worrying him as I have had many talks with him. Just an annoying thing. It normally starts to get better throughout the day. That's why I think it could be food related as he is not the sort to fake it and enjoys school
