We feel the whole thing is surreal. We were brought here a year ago to live and work.  Now we are dispensed with.

Off to make tea.

DJ - I really feel for you both - the shock must have been an incredible one. Nothing worse than goalposts being moved and the carpet being pulled out from underneath your feet.  Good luck with the moving . . I do hope everything goes smoothly for you . .

Oh Jess we wish we could be there to help. Where are you moving to?

So sorry about the dog but best as she must work. How many cattle to you have to shift?

Oh DJ, I am behind on news.

How awful for you. To loose a job is bad enough, but your  loosing your home & lifestyle too.

My heart goes out for you, , as they say one door closes another opens. So hears to a new beginning & a bright future.

Hugs h :)

Thanks all so much.
It's 4,30 am and I am shaking with rage. Managed some sleep.

All the farm kit and cattle going almost to Wales to family member.

Dog going almost to scotland. We will be living on roads for  2 weeks.

Thanks gert I know if you were all nearer you'd help and bring food and laughter to counter the shock.

Hopefully good friends coming today, but they've been in France and don't know yet.
Slow roasting lamb in case.

The horsey people have been lovely so pony and I very lucky. Move him today. Only pay for riding time to keep him up to mark in case selling  next month. Free keep for him.
Other older friends where we used to live and work have offered to have him longer as next stage if need be.

It's just so wrong on so many levels. Sorry this is only place can vent.

I would bring you my sledging biscuits as they would be great for keeping in your pocket on the road. What a Nightmare. You seem to have organised it quickly and well. No doubt it pisses you off mightily after taking that time off to see daughter graduate and have miserable time with the weather and the  the places you stayed.  So not fair. I hope the weather is kind while you move the cattle and your chattels.

DJ vent all you like to ge it off your chest, no good keeping it all in. It sounds as if you have been so busy organising your lives with this upheaval and although you have a lot of travelling ahead of you, it sounds as if you are working things out.  I hope the visitors do show up today - they will take your mind off things for a while whilst you sit, have a cuppa and hear about their travels (and no doubt discuss your problems as well)

DJ, get anything off your chest here. We are all good listeners.
It is very unfair what has happened to you. I too hope the weather holds out for you to settle everything up and move on.
Enjoy your visitors DJ.
