Good morning everyone.

2 hours is fair journey each way but well worth it to spend time with DD and new grandson.
It takes me a bit over 2.5 hours by train to get to Sydney and about 1hour and 40minutes to drive.

If I want to have a decent shop, I drive to Hornsby (only a bit over an hours drive) Chatswood or Castle Hill and that's probably once a month. If there is something on, concert, play etc DH I will stay the night.
I have family and friends too that I visit. Are you a Sydney girl?

DH and I woke at 4 am... Maybe I should try this slot and meet you all for afternoon tea but with my eye mask to block outthe light I really resist waking up any more.
Last night was bad for some reason. It has been better for the last month.
Hopefully tonight will be better again.

DH snoring and waking alternatley through one of the Bourne identity films. Not sure such one, been too busy tapping on here

Yes - used to be over near North Parramatta - but for the last few years near Dee Why on the northern beaches . . .

I grew up in Baulkham Hills.

yes - it is nice over this way . . .but the crime rate especially among the young is a bit of a worry . . .but I guess you could say that for anywhere these days.  Where we were before has almost totally changed with streets and streets of houses being demolished to make way for the huge macmansions that almost entirely fill the large blocks of land. . . we were sandwiched (literally!!) between two of them before we finally moved . .

Amazes me too CC. Talking cooking and gardens with someone on the other side of the world getting on a train to London to visit their grandson.

I just love the forum Michele.You guys are such lovely people,just a shame we all don't live in the same street.
You asked how long it took me to travel into London,It takes about approx two hours to get to my DD's. Forty five minutes on the train into Marleybone Station, then another fifty five minutes on the underground to get to Canary Wharf.

If my DD lived at Canary Wharf I would move in with her.
