Arrived in Melbourne and checked in to Hotel. Went out for dinner with DF to Gimlet. What a buzz. The only booking she could get was for 3.30 pm. Didn’t seem to matter as people were coming and going. I’d forgotten just how different it is to dine at a top Restaurant in Melbourne. The SD bread from Melbourne Baker Blue blew my mind. It was the best I’ve ever eaten. Duck pate was also excellent. Oyster not as good as the Coffin Bay ones I had in Darwin. We both chose the days special of Coral trout with Artichoke. Fantastic. For sweets friend had a chocolate concoction which she said was great. I had an icecream which was average. I had a mocktail, not good, just like cordial. Friend had a couple of cocktails.

Tidying up all my necklaces, bracelets, etc. - they have been in utter chaos for way too long. I found loads of things I had forgotten about.
Chookie, in the unlikely event you find yourself with an idle moment whilst you are in Melbourne, and you are in our vicinity, it would be lovely if you could drop in to say hello.

I can hardly believe this. My new hairdresser is doing my hair on Sunday morning at 7.30, before I head off to Melbourne. I’m making her a salad in appreciation.
