Made a chicken bone broth with ,dare I say it ,chicken feet ! It is very gelatinous . Used fresh ginger and Tumeric. Just brought a bag of frozen chicken feet from the butcher . Might ask if they are free range next time .

KAtie, in my early 20’s a bought raw chicken had the giblets and feet stuffed inside the body so I used them in my soup stock too. Overnight in the fridge it would set like a wobbly jelly, it was the best stock.

A good stock always sets.
I made a fruit loaf today and a chocolate cake.

Cookie wishing your DH a happy birthday. Nothing like a chocolate bd cake . I had a mug of my chicken feet stock for lunch and feel so much better today . DH was not to happy about seeing the feet sticking up in the stock when I made it - too funny ! You know this means I will continue to torment him with said stock .

Whole orange sponge cake ! Added a thinly sliced rhubarb stalk . Use olive oil instead of canola oil . Sprinkled with Demerara sugar .

Making a batch of Tomato ketchup. Hopefully taking one bottle for DS at University. Cleaned out the vegetable draw of tomatoes. Pumpkin soup for DH ( soft food for him as had two crowns done together. That means no yummy lamb crumbed cutlets fir a few weeks . DS last night made a slow cooked gravey beef meal , he added pasta at the last part as there was too much liquid. He ate at 10.30 pm ! Apparently big W has slow cookers $26 ! Love it he also made biscuits and brownie slice ( packet mix ) but thankful he is experimenting now after nearly 3 years at uni . He does cook for himself all that time .

4 jars chilli jam using 2 Peruvian chillies as well as 4 normal chillies. It's very nice but a little bit on the warm side.

10 zucchini/carrot patties plus a batch of roasted red capsicum soup for my friend. Thought I’d try cooking the patties in my pie maker for a thicker and neater patty - and it was. I’ll line the bottom with baking paper next time to make it easier to remove them. He will reheat them in the air fryer.
