Made this just now - it is delicious! Didn't make much though, should have doubled it. I only had 2/3 of a capsicum, and used 3 garlic cloves and 2 extra chillies.

Ooh, I love scallops - they are my favourite seafood. I love them with the roe attached, but it's nearly impossible to buy them here fresh like that.

Recipe Book Recipe Reviews / Ginger and Soy Glazed Salmon with book choy and coconut rice« on: April 08, 2013, 11:43:39 am »

Tastes nice. I used brown rice, so cooked for 20 mins first with the MC in, then filled recipe. I also deseeded the chilli, which I'm glad I did as the It isn't really glazed... Tastes more marinated. It also seems like a waste of coconut milk, as it doesn't absorb it all. Perhaps putting some shredded coconut in with the rice would be more economical? Would make again though. 35

I made this last weekend too. I agree with you regarding the tweaks, but it's very tasty. Was well received by all, even the non- vegans.

Good idea I make mayo without the butterfly. I failed filling the edc recipe, but made one from here where you put the whole egg in from the fridge with the temp on and it works like magic. There are threads here about rescuing mayo too 41

It might be that they weren't folded in enough - I was worried about deflating them. They were pretty stiff though. I'll try again when I have enough eggs chooks are not laying well at the moment.
