Gosh Cookie, after all the fires last week I bet you got a fright seeing one so close.

Other than cooking dinner today I have taken it easy. Had a day out yesterday with a friend making greeting cards and we went to a lady who had just about every stampin up product there ever was so I was a bit exhausted when I got home and fell asleep in front of TV about 8pm.

Dear all, just a quick flick through but how to catch up on so many pages....
sorry about your cat Julie and wow Cookie, glad you are all ok.

Just signed up to the Hay Festival accommodation finder, which opens next week, we will finally be opening our B and B this year from sometime n April to see how it goes. Just a utility room in the garage to finish before we can start. A lot going on in between DH's regular CT scans.  Horribly wet here storm from USA arrived, but no snow thankfully. It is getting lighter at night with the very darkest 2 months of winter over. Roll on May and June my favourite months. Thinking maybe a dog would add to our lives, but not just yet, see how everything goes.

cheers to all DJ

DJ it is lovely to read that your dream of a B&B will be coming to fruition after all the hiccoughs. I hope it goes well.
Troupie your day sounds like lots of fun. I have a friend who loves making her own cards.
Margaret enjoy the chatter and sewing.
I plan to go shopping to buy some food sometime today.

DJ, good to hear from you. Good luck with your B and B and DH.
We were in Melbourne today and I had an eye injection. Not too bad as I think I am getting used to them as this is my third one. Still needed to go home and rest. Dr quite pleased with how the eye is going.

A trip to the hardware store this morning to buy acouple of window winders.   The old ones don't work properly and I have to go outside and push them shut.

Also bought a mouse for a laptop computer that I was gifted.  Will use the laptop for all my sewing software.

Snap Margaret. I've also been to the hardward shop this morning to get all the things I need for DH's ex BIL to come and do some maintenance jobs for me. I've made quite a list of jobs for him, he does everything so well and we've always used him for things we can't do ourselves.  This time though, most jobs I could do but I've hung up my handywoman shoes!!

Fair enough Judy. There comes a time when handyman issues can come back and bite us, like people falling off ladders.  ;D

Packed 12 wine boxes with cooking books. All in alphabetical order.
Have started to colour code boxes with coloured stickers.  Got this excellent idea from the Forum.   Thank you very clever person.
