What have you been doing today?
« Reply #19545 on: April 03, 2016, 12:18:34 pm »
The Lemon Meringue New Wave had a sort of marshmallow top on it.  The Basil and Raspberry Picnic Loaf was fairly easy to make. It is sort of a marble cake using raspberry purée to marble it. It has white ganachė over it and spots on.
This is before it was cooked.

The third dish was the 12 small cakes. The base is a pistachio Genoa (?) sponge. It has a filling of a piece of Crėme Brúlee and it is all covered with a Chocolate Mousse and then a Chocolate Glaze. The decoration is coloured white chocolate scrolls that we had fun making.

You're certainly working hard cookie and they all look amazing.  You'll be all caked out by the time you finish these cooking classes but my, what a lot you've learnt.

I've just caught up on the last 6 pages and have got to say your cakes look amazing, Cookie.  A lot of hard, complicated work but it looks and sounds like you had a lot of fun as well.

We had an Italian theme. Sweet potato gnocchi with no butter sage sauce, vegetable lasagne and brownie for dessert.
Last week we had an Asian theme, tofu dumplings with miso broth, Laksa & lychee and lime icecream.

Those dishes sound great, what sauce did you use in the vegetable lasagne? ... any chance of getting the recipe for the no butter sage sauce?
