Cape Arid is beautiful, Denise. We stayed in the DEC caravan park a few years ago in early October. We could walk down to the beach and sit on the rocks overlooking a whale nursery. We saw so many mother whales with their calves, it was just magical. I think they spend a few months there, so you might see the early arrivals.
The coastline is stunning, and I was in awe of the turquoise colours of the water and the white sand. Photographs really don't do it justice.
Have fun!

I went to the podiatrist, then Spotlight. We then went visiting and when we got home had visitors. Perfect for a wild and woolly day.

This is the Murray Princess, the paddle Steamer that we are spending a week on.  Company good, food good, plenty to see on the river.  Difficult to communicate via WiFi and 3G.  The two people nearest the boat are Bruce and Mandy.

Looks like people are taking enough luggage for a world tour! Unless those bags are full of wine of course!

... that's because their bags are full of wine, Judy!!

I didn't realise they had paddle steamers that big on the Murray, very impressed!

Not real paddle steamers Marina but they look the real deal and yes, some are quite large.

Oh, there goes that romantic notion of paddling along the Murray ... my two SILs and one DIL are coming over from Inverness next summer and I had thought that a couple of days on the Murray might be nice.  I'll see what Chookie thinks about the whole thing when they get home.
