Gert I didn't have success using GF flour.   :-\

Used 1 cup of the flour to 1 egg and the necessary amount of water.  I can see why it has to be treated differently.  The flour is like corn flour, so powder like.  I weighed the 250g but it seemed like so much more in volume, I continued on but could see it wasn't forming into clumps like the plain flour does.  I added a bit more water but I didn't like how it looked and didn't want to risk it damaging the machine for something that I wouldn't be using again, so I stopped it and threw it away.

I would think to be successful I would need to follow the advice from that blog I posted the other day and use those other ingredients, but as it's not something I need to make, I'll give it a miss. At least I tried.  :P

Thanks for trying Julie. When all is said and done it is cheaper to just buy the gluten free pasta. It Ain't too bad . I am sorry it cost you the ingredients though. I owe you a drink if you are coming to the Forum Fest.

Haa, you are probably right (regarding it would be cheaper just to buy th pre-made stuff) but I love to have a go at something and it just may have worked out.

I admit I'm totally in the dark regarding gluten free but as time goes on I'm sure someone who cooks this way may come up with a useable recipe that works in this machine.

No need to apologise Gert, you didn't ask me to do it, I wanted to try it myself.   :D

There's a nice sounding biscuit recipe on the flour bag so I may use it up that way.  ;D

Loving your reports...Thanks Julie  :-*.  I picked my machine up from the post office tonight, so hopefully I will get to play tomorrow  ;)

Gosh, I've been so bad this week, I really deserve a big  smack!!

2 days ago I purchased a pink (shock huh  :P)  Wesco bread bin I have been ogling for some time.  It's vented & apparently keeps baked bread & goodies fresh...we shall see

This dreamfarm garlic press online, which apparently is the king of presses.  Honestly, I think the tupperware one is over-rated, I've had it for years & really not that impressed.  This one ejects the peel straight to the bin, so no garlicky fingers

Sadly my percolator died this week, & I do love a strong brew programmed to be made & waiting when I wake.
I've never been happy with the glass pots though, as the coffee stays only Luke warm.
After a bit of searching, I found this beuty by Breville, sold in Myer

You have the choice for it to automatically grind your beans, or use Pre-ground.  Loved the thermal carafe, or program it to just grind & brew 1 cup at a time, choosing cup size & strength....in gadgetry heaven  :D

Love it when you've been shopping Maddy. So much shopping, so little time.  :D

I went shopping to buy something we had decided DH could give me for Valentines Day - a heart shaped charm for my Pandora bracelet.  It's almost full so I ended up buying 6 more charms to help it along.  What does DH want me to give him, a feed of lamb shanks!  How could I refuse LOL.

Julie, thanks for all the info on the Philips pasta machine. You cooked dish looks yummy. I have packed mine away.  It made too much and I have frozen some.  Will add to soup.

Judy I think that was a very good deal! I love my Pandora bracelet. ;D

Thanks Chookie, I hope it has given people some insight into it.  I won't bombard the thread any more now, I think you all get the drift that I'm more than happy with the machine.  ;D ;D

Not a good photo, it's hard to photograph these bracelets.  I would love a gold one but way too expensive for me.
