Yesterday I made some Oat, Lemon and Cranberry biscuits.
I have Nico Moretti’s Cinnamon Scrolls on their second rise at the moment. It’s a lovely enriched dough. Beautiful to work with.

That is quite an impressive move along Marina.
I didn’t do much today, just the usual. We had a lovely couple come round yesterday and they are going to buy the van. They deposited a sizeable deposit into our account today. I’m so relieved. I thought we would have to put it out the front when the motorhome arrived.

Are you itching to get back to cooking Marina?
I’m making steak and mushroom pies for dinner tonight. We will sit down with them and tomato sauce and watch our footy team be badly beaten. 😀😀😀😀😀 It will still be fun.

Corn chowder and creamy vegetables with pasta.

I am not doing much cooking at home yet, just very simple things.  I am not sure if I totally trust my balance and strength with handling hot food yet but I hope to be given the OK to drive again when I see my surgeon next week so I can re-start my weekly routine of getting away to our home in the country at the weekends and a fully stocked kitchen pantry

That was a lovely surprise, Chookie.

I have been pretty inactive on here recently - now that I am healing I have very little news, just slogging on and trying to be good with my physio.

I returned my loan "Rehab at Home" chair and leg rest earlier in the week.  I now just have to return the crutches to my colleague at work who had loaned them to me and yesterday I gave away my knee scooter and elevation pillow to a friend who had a friend who had just broken her leg - that was the last of my 'aids' gone so I feel quite pleased with myself.

Onward and upward, as they say!!

I Made some No Fuss bread rolls and substituted a handful of rolled oats for the flour. Visitors loved them.

Going out for breakfast with visitors before they return home.
Yesterday while ‘doing’ Ballarat with visitors we realised a shop owner had been a student at the school while we all worked there. She and her husband produce hand made shoes to order. Also leather aprons. She is also a wine maker and gave us a bottle of her wine to try.
