Maddy, I wish I had some of your beautiful candles. I am burning a plain white one at the moment as there is a bad smell in the family room. Our cats often bring us "presents" in the form of dead rodents, but I can't find a body. I think something has died in the ceiling, but there is nothing I can do about it as we have a flat roof. We will just have to wait it out >:(

ES...if your looking for a deodoriser without worrying about having a flame, these air wick reed diffusers are lovely & perfumed...last about a month.  Each week I flip over the reeds (have one in the loo). I have only seen them in Woolies here

Enjoy your outings Ladies  8) no idea what's on this weekend...sport will dictate that no doubt....but I will be playing with wax again  ;)

The boys went to the cats practice match last night, which our nephew was playing first for the cats VFL side...Junior still smiling when James Kelly (9 for the cats), gave him his boots & socks after the game...us women would think "gross", but to a footy mad kid...there's no greater prize  ;)  a boy from school was sitting beside him, so he shared the stinky sock & boot with him  :P

Maddy that is a lovely thing for him to do. I'm afraid I will still barrack for Eagles though.

Today DH and I picked up our almost 92 year old friend and took her to her granddaughter's wedding. She has great difficulty walking now and even standing so it was a bit of fun. DH just said put your arms round me and he lifted her. She thought it was hilarious. Her mind is still 100%  and we love her dearly. The brides father died just before Christmas so it was an emotive wedding.
She wasn't going to the reception as it would have been too much for her. It was a beautiful wedding in some very pretty gardens. As Hally said not too hot, and the sun shone. We bought her a Happy Meal at Maccas for dinner. She was tickled pink.
The brides Mother insisted on me having a beautiful floral arrangement that was on the table. The bride said she had got it to give us for bringing her Grandmother. It made me teary after the emotive wedding. Just beautiful.

you're a good friend to have cookie x

I went to the farmers markets in Mt Claremont (thats where the KIS books are $10 cheaper than RRP). Got some gorgeous veggies and some lamb that tasted like I used to have when I was a country kid. Then I went to see "Tracks". Good movie, but not wow. Going to see mum and dad tomorrow in Northam with my sister and have all the ingredients out for a ozzy'dj's carrot cake to make tonight. Have also put together the starter for the Hairy Bikers bread in the lastest UK newsletter and its already bubbling away.

It's nice to see your kindness was appreciated Cookie, they thought of you even with all they had on their plate.  I imagine your friend really enjoyed herself and was quite happy to only attend the ceremony. She is lucky to have you as a friend.

A few good recipes in the UK newsletter this month CP, I printed out the bread one too.

Maddy, junior will treasure that boot - boys will be boys.

Lovely story Maddy. Smelly boots and socks do seem odd things to give a fan but football is an unknown quantity as far as I'm concerned.
How lovely Cookie and what beautiful flowers.

Lovely Cookie!

Pooey Maddie. I was thinking a pair of new socks.

CP I would love that book. Still haven't bought one yet. Do they only sell the KIS book? Will have to see if any friends go there.

Still so incredibly lethargic. Kids are occupying themselves today. Bless them.
